These things happen, we offer what we consider a good price for an unproven player in the championship, they want an unrealistic £3m. Fair play to the club for not paying over the odds. It still might come off but wouldn’t it be much better if its more like £2m plus add ons if he makes the step up. Omar Bogle springs to mind.

Quite rightly, anybody has the right to either disagree, or agree with me. I have no problem with that at all.
But what is the need for people to jump down my neck like a few people on here do? Theres no need for it. Ok, I will call out some of the culprits here.

Jrfatfan…a lot of the time, I agree with things he says. I think if we had a pint and a chat, we would get on actually. But yet he can be a bit snipey with me as well. He has me down the wrong way. As I think has Egg.GarswoodLatic…as a moderator, I’d kind of expect more of you. We have met, you are a decent chap, but somewhere down the line you have seemingly took a disliking to me, blocked me on FB, etc etc. You met me at a bad time in my life and took me the wrong way, I think. There has been a few times I have wanted a chat with you about Latics or other football things, and not been able to.
At the end of the day, I am a Latics supporter. Ive had a season ticket since 86. Theres been many great times, some not so great. Perhaps I come over as someone who goes home and sulks after games if we have lost or played bad? No. I dont fret about it. By the time Ive got home, Ive moved on and thats that.
I dont shout and get angry or carried away at games. I don’t sing. I go to games and watch it, celebrate if we win and hope we win. Obviously I want us to win. But I dont cry or sulk if we dont. Its a game.
I discovered last year that I do have mild Autism, so thats where I obviously have some difficulties with reactions and things. I may react or see things differently to others, I cant help that. So I apologise for not being perfect and not just going along with everyone else.
But frankly, I am not as arsed about it all as many of you would like to believe. I may come across as being more arsed than I am. Ive renewed, and I will go. But its not the be all and end all. Theres far more important things. Ce la vie.
So if you are a decent type in reality, lets move on shall we? Thanks.
You sure over react pal but no way should this forum be upsetting you like it does. Its when you start offering to face to face people and being aggressive that it turns idle football chat into something else which as I’m sure you realise in the cold light of day is ridiculous. Happy to shake your hand anytime chief. We are all passionate Latics men and I certainly don’t come on here to upset anyone. Life’s hard enough for all of us and all Wigan Ath is for most of us is a short reprieve in our often mundane lives!
I think sometimes with forums (of any nature) is that folk can take things the wrong way. I’d like to think most of it is banter & should be taken that way.

Interesting point raised there egg. I have been on courses the last 2 weeks in work. One course related to discrimination & hence, bullying in the workplace cropped up. What one would constitute as fun & banter, another might deem it as bullying towards him/her.
Most of the posts on here are differing opinions though as opposed to “insults”. I know myself and GL try to weed out any insults where we can.
The point is if you don’t want your opinion questioned then don’t post it.

Believe me, I dont want to fight with anyone. I’m 42 and I’ve got 2 young kids. But some of the abuse and sniping I have had, theres been no need for it. If you look at it, I dont jump on anybody or snipe at them…seriously, I dont. I never have done. Because I am better than that, and theres no need for it.

Your opinion that we are in trouble because we haven’t won a friendly is ridiculous because they mean nothing as many others have said. Well, in fact as everyone has said.
Similarly, I would read nothing into the result against Everton tomorrow, Burnley on Saturday or Stoke in the cup. All games that will see squad players given a run, multiple changes and will be played at less than 90%.
