21 July 2019 at 1:54 pm #179714Meltdown number 37.
Of pre-season
21 July 2019 at 1:59 pm #179715It’s pre season FFS. Accrington Stanley beat Marseille last week.
I dont care.
We should be beating Bradford. We smashed Chester, lost to Fylde, drew with Bradford.
At the moment, we are basically a decent league one side, but not a decent Championship side.Well thats MY opinion. You can have your own, but thats what mine is.
And here’s mine VAT. Relax my acquaintance. It is PRE-SEASON! Nobody busts a gut in pre season. They are simply warm up matches to get the blood pumping. To get fit for the new season.
Exactly
21 July 2019 at 4:53 pm #179716Bleeding eck what’s happened here!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but when people make ridiculous comments expect to get ridiculed. To think that pre season friendlies give you any idea as to what the coming season holds then you are nothing short of being deluded.
Check all the preseason results over the past few weeks and on the face of it a draw at Bradford is a cracking result.(lol)
Watch Cookies interview and also check the team changes made during the game, it was a run out for the boys and that’s how it should be judged. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!21 July 2019 at 7:23 pm #179718When our supposed u23 team wins 3 nil away at a conference side whilst our main team draws 1-1 at a division two side it makes you wonder why some of these players aren’t in the first team?
21 July 2019 at 7:37 pm #179719Fair comment Roy….but also that result begs the question as to how seriously the Chorley players Were taking a game at what they may have perceived to be just a fitness building run out against “Wigan’s kids’ ?
21 July 2019 at 8:02 pm #179720So by that reckoning, Accy should be in Europe cos they beat Marseille
21 July 2019 at 9:19 pm #179721A couple of people on this board are worth bothering with, but the rest of you arent.
So thats me done. Well done for keeping your nice little group together. Frankly, whats a board when you arent allowed your own opinion? Its not worth a jot.
Im back to the sun and my hot tub now, cheers.
21 July 2019 at 10:06 pm #179723Well for what it’s worth, I don’t think results mean too much unless you are getting stuffed every match with your supposed best 11 out

Well this is a real left hook for us all. Before the seasons started a real shot across our sails. Was enjoying the weekend till this post appeared like a bolt from the blue. I’m sure I’m not on my own. I know it’s gonna hit me hard. A veteran no less. A man who has served Queen and Country home and abroad. Am sure we will all ‘soldier’ on Dave as you enjoy your hot tub in Skem. God bless.
21 July 2019 at 11:10 pm #179727This isn’t your flounciest of flounces Dave. You’ve done bigger and better ones many times in the past. Not one of your better efforts.

No problem with anyone having an opinion, but if the opinion is utter tosh then be prepared to be challenged. That’s what’s happened Dave, nothing to do with not allowing anyone have an opinion. You have some great football knowledge and have been a lifelong tic, you just spoil it with the odd rash comment that leaves you open to heavy criticism. You then take it personally and become very aggressive. Whether you go or stay have a great season and get behind PC and the boys, we need positivity from the start not negativity. There will he plenty of time and opportunities for the darksiders to have their moan, but let’s get the season going first.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!21 July 2019 at 11:21 pm #179729Vat could start a scrap in a lift in his own

Pretty much my thoughts on it too.
Usually it’s the darkside (although I think most are trolls) that react when anyone dare criticise their opinion that we’re crap, Cook is an idiot, our team are all aged over 50 and our owners haven’t bought Messi yet although TBH he’s shit anyway.
As I said above, friendlies IMO mean nothing and we all know VAT will be back soon enough
22 July 2019 at 12:38 am #179731The idea that we base any judgements on a friendly is frankly ludicrous. Beyond belief. Beyond ludicrous to be honest.
Friendlies are first of all, what it says on the tin, friendly. There are no wild last minute challenges, no do or die efforts to get the ball, no straining every sinew to get to a cross to nod it in.
They are a training session with the added factor of not knowing what the opposition is going to do, so providing a bit more of a challenge in real time.
They are, as John has said, an opportunity for the team to get to know each other. The defence haven’t worked with Marshall before. I would much rather they learned about each other before we play Cardiff.
They are an opportunity for non-first teamers to get a bit of match time, to work with the first team.
It’s a chance for the manager and the backroom staff to try all sorts of formations, moves, or whatever, in an environmet where, and take note of this, IT DOESN’T MATTER.
“we should be beating teams like this”?
WTF?
They are friendlies. They are pre-season friendlies.
And mean zero, zilch, nada, rien du tout.22 July 2019 at 10:04 pm #179741Back to the thread what the fuck is going on, we are going to miss out on this guy if we don’t cough up quickly, the season starts in less than 2 weeks and this is poor poor business by IEC it looks to me like the club are trying to show interest in players to appease the fans with no interest what so ever in buying anyone then again has 9 years to young.
