If that video doesn’t bring a tear to the eye then nothing will
26 August 2020 at 12:14 pm #188983Just seen it on Facebook; sure does bring tears to the eyes.
Our club is being taken from us, with the likes of Pollard and now Hemmings vulturing over the remains.
We cannot let it happen

Same here! What time is the announcement from the administrators tomorrow?

Still saying time to be agreed (by whom?) on the website.
Executions in England were carried out at 8am…that’s tea time in Hong Kong
26 August 2020 at 12:54 pm #188986smashing emotive little film that by the same voice as last seasons season ticket one, that one always chokes me up.
The narrator gets its just right on both of these , sure i know his voice though although i wont name him on here.
Nervy times ahead though , have grave doubts now about our future.26 August 2020 at 1:05 pm #188987Egg ….I note with trepidation your less than confident view on the French/US groups interest ….and would welcome your further thoughts on that (to the extent that you can of course)
However what do WASC hope to do with £500k ?
It isn’t enough to buy the club and would last no more than a couple of weeks in terms of running costs …what’s the plan ?…..if it is to buy a seat on the board then that presumes there is going to be a board (i.e a club with an owner) to sit on ?!
26 August 2020 at 1:39 pm #188988As a pure guess, the £500k would be to pay the running costs of playing matches, just so we can start the season. This would hopefully buy time after Monday’s deadline if it’s needed. I don’t think there is any legal reason for the deadline, Bunglers just set it to encourage some bids.

I don’t know anything about any of the bids for legal reasons. My discussions with the admin have been around how the crowdfunder was spent to pay the bills, but we have always been doing things in the background to prepare for the worst because I believe they would have to come back to us before they liquidate and give us one more chance to buy the club.
I’m guessing based on the talk that the stadium and Euxton have been sold separately. Seems strange that they would want to buy just the club (with an academy dropping to level 3) when they basically have a ready made Championship club. Off the field at least. They could have done this from day one don’t forget so I don’t think it is simply a case of the admins lining their pockets.
More details on the £500k should be given later on by Caroline on the podcast she is doing with Jay Whittle. If not, then I’ll answer anything I can.
26 August 2020 at 2:53 pm #188991I don’t see any of our multi millionaires Wiganers stepping forward to save our towns football club, oh no it’s down to fans who the vast majority have felt the pinch since March.
500k, dig deep guys and let’s pray we get through to the start of the season. I hope administrators are proud on achieving fcuk all bar rip the rug from underneath us. Sick minded horrible bunch er cnuts,
What goes around26 August 2020 at 3:38 pm #188993Vat: love this club me
Also Vat: not watching them again while cooks hereVat after admin: what do we do to save this club. Love this club me
Vat when given something he can do to save the club: not worth it26 August 2020 at 3:39 pm #188994F*** off back to everton then or go and watch skem
26 August 2020 at 4:29 pm #188995I thought the Ainscough family may have got involved. Bill allegedly worth 600 million and Wigan born. Dont know if he has ever supported sport and we’ve no right to expect anyone to spend there hard earned cash but come on Bill get some spent….write you name in Wigan sporting folklore. ……no pockets in a shroud…..
26 August 2020 at 5:43 pm #188996Hello STUPID STU.
The way things are going, we will ALL be at Skem soon enough….
Does it make you want to cry a little? Aw dirdums. I feel your pain. Can you not take it? Awwww.
But if you want to keep polishing the turd in the belief that Latics are still a viable going concern, despite people very close to the situation actually thinking we are actually one fecked up club, then so be it.
26 August 2020 at 6:16 pm #188997Does it upset me? Course it fucking does mate this is my football club. Is it not upsetting you that this club you supposedly love might be gone in 2 weeks?
As for people close to the situation…do you mean like Jonathan Jackson who is behind this? Oh, I forgot you don’t like him either.
His dad saved the club once and know he’ll save it.
Up the Jackson Tics
26 August 2020 at 6:23 pm #189000With an attitude like that Vat then yes we are dead.
