Adam, its not a case of having an attitude like that. Its the reality.
The clubs knackered.
No players.
Ground sold.
Training ground sold.
Debts remaining.
No income, with crowds still not allowed.Seriously, what IS left to actually save?
No, actually STU, it was not JJ I was speaking to on Tuesday night. I actually had a really long and cordial talk with Mr Krasner, to gage his feelings about us. Whilst he didnt divuldge anything about a buyer…nor did I even ask him, out of respect, we were in agreement that the club is not one of any great aesthetic appeal to any prospective buyer. A club that is now short on assets, no commercial footprint, and even further down the line in making any money from the stadium. It is no surprise if nobody wants us. We are not an exciting prospect and offer nothing in return. Sorry, but its true.
Like it or not, the club has reached a point here where you have to look at what we would actually be saving? Our history? That will always be there. Is it not just out of rose tinted stubborness? Without a backer putting money in each month, the club is not viable as a business. Its crass to think otherwise. What will 500k gain? Not much, in my mind. There is too much baggage now and failure around the club. Its time to think about cutting losses and look towards maybe forming a new club, and fundraise towards that. I think that would have more chance of success, than attempting to give the kiss of life to a club without a pulse.
What happens if the 500k is raised, the club is saved, and then folds in a month or so? S lot more money down the pan, that would have gone towards a new club. What will happen then, another appeal?You have to try and look without the rose tonted glasses, sensibly. Lets see what happens tomorrow, and in due course.

For me, it’s about the future. Yes a phoenix club sounds great and non-league football would be a laugh but would it ever be MY club? I take great pride in being a Latics fan and following in my Grandfathers footsteps. He died when I was 18 months old but he was a massive Latics fan. Out of his 6 children, 9 grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren, I am the only one that supports Latics and after every big historic moment he is the first thing I think about and I point to the sky as my kind of “celebration” (i dont even believe in heaven and hell etc but its a symbol more than anything) I love sitting and talking with fans who would be his era about some of their memories.
My daughter might not choose to follow football or indeed to support Latics, but maybe in 30 years when I let her have a boyfriend and she adopts a child (she’s never having sex lol) she may get a son who comes to the games with his grandad and enjoys those moments.
It may fail and it may be too late, but if I sat and did nothing I don’t know how I could explain that to future generations.
I always felt hopeful of a new owner even more so after the debt of the Chinese was cleared but now with this supporters club news I think we are done and dusted.

I have donated £50 to the fund, it’s a pity i cannot afford a few noughts to it,
I don’t want a penny back, the enjoyment i’ve had over the years watching the Latics,
this is a splash in the ocean.What makes me mad, is all these Wigan multi-millionaires, who brag about
being dragged up in Wigan and have done very well for themselves,
can sit back and watch Wigan Athletic possibly going to the wall,
when a few thousand pounds from them could save the club.This is small change to them and yet they can see Latics fans
giving what little money they have to spare, to try and save the club.When these Wigan multi-millionaires, appear in Britain’s Richest List,
spare us ‘Wigan made me who i am Today’,
yet won’t help a football club in your own Town who have a great heritage in Wigan.You know the price of everything, but the value of nothing.
It does seem strange that the vast majority of donations have come from the fans and not people with undoubtedly more wealth. I’ve donated every Friday and will do again tomorrow because it’s our club our lifetimes commitment and the best little club in the world bar none.
Get pledging and save this club in what is its darkest ever hour , far worse than 1983 !!!
Cannot understand a defeatist attitude at a time like this be my message is to all those temporary Jonny come lately hand clasping w@@@@rs that plagued our club for few years during ten premier league days !!!

Admin said “Oh no, we don’t think that’s fair, here you go”.Surely that money would have gone towards paying bills or into the fund to keep the club alive ? we all need to help out here past and present.
Again, admin clearly don’t give a fcuk. Uncle Fester needs to shut the fcuk up and move onto the next business so they can maintain what thier good at, raping and pillaging businesses for profit, scum of the earth
