Well isn’t that just a massive surprise to us all.
If it comes to liquidation, could the fund be used to hire legal representation to look into the admin and/or others for malfeasance?
I don’t know how english law works, or how the administrator is assigned/who he owes fiduciary responsibility to; but, I think it’s fair to question. I know in the US, the mere threat of being sued can keep people in line, as even if they don’t think the lawsuit will be successful, they want to avoid the discovery process, were they have to often make all private documents/records available to all parties, and don’t want unflattering facts to come to light.
I’d love to see the unfiltered finance records/transactions and confirm if the admin is really performing their duties honestly/in the best interests of all parties or if any anterior motives are in play (in the case of either the admin or EFL). Sunshine/Light is always the best disinfectant, and such action may be the only way to clean up football in general.
The admins have no other option but to sell players. They are getting no money in from anywhere else but still have wages and bills to pay.
It’s a catastrophe that players are going forbthe fees they are going for, but we are in no position to dig our heels in for a fair price.
The admins role is not to save the club, it is to recoup as much money as possible. They don’t care what stevie from platt bridge thinks or marshy from ince. They will sell players until there is enough in the bank to pay the wages. Or would we prefer they refused to sell a player at a certain price, failed to pay the players on time and they all left for free?
We’ll come through this the other side but our squad for this season will be young lads. All the young lads we wanted playing last season. Well let’s see how good they are.
