I would also have gone for Rooney. Not a bad payer at all, but wouldn’t get in the Spanish squad, or either of Barcelona or Real Madrid. However, as you have already got him in your overrated team the I have to nominate £35m man Andy Carroll!
I agree, Henderson is grossly overrated and over valued, I’m not going to tar Wilshere with that brush yet, because he’s young and he’s got the potential to be the next Paul scholes, and Carroll, true that.

Rooney was so good at 17/18 I thought he would develop into a far better player than he has. By better I mean on a par with the likes of Messi and Ronaldo.
Wilshere I’m not so sure about so he’ll probably prove me wrong.

Wilshire isn’t anything like Paul Scholes was, or ever has been, as a player. Seem to recall him spending most of the game at the DW this season on the floor, moaning to the referee. Cleverly is better, though he’s not world class either.
We never got to see that amazing celebration of his.Yes we did. He did it at Sunderland in the cup after they scored an own goal when he happened to be close by. THAT is how poor he was.

jordi gomez is inconsistant some of his criticism is to far at times but if he scores at wembley he will be a hero just another show of the fine lines in football
