Probably debated this for the last nine years but here goes.
I only go to home games due to family and cost (cue sudworth) so over the last 9 years have seen us win on average 5 times a year. Is this really what I want from a saturday afternoon?
Relegation would see us more competitive and get me out the house 4 more times and have that good feeling on a Saturday night more often.
I am honestly now bored with losing and would like to watch something different, I know there’s no guarantee and we could well free fall. However think I say this every year then we beat utd and I say that one game makes the other 18 shite worth it.
My tin hats on but relegation I welcome not fear.

10 February 2013 at 12:10 pm #103105Despite being told to feck off and call me a Cnut I will reply, thanks filmoss he obviously didn’t read it again or should I say understand It
Our home form each year under bob if you attend all home games means you’ve seen us win on average about 5 games, not me a jinx then?
I attended 20 years prior to the prem so not exactly a bandwagon jump is it?
Which point in the post does it say I’m not supporting them?
The point which fat bloke obviously cannot grasp is I’d rather see us in a more competitive playing field. I then added the caveat that always happens year after year.
Has that simplified it for you, now feck off you Cnut ;) ;)

Been saying this for ages. Saints spent years in the top division but frankly most of them were angst ridden battling against the drop stuff or at best mid table boredom. Sure you’d get the occasional result against the big teams and the last day euphoria of staying up but even then is that really worth celebrating? We’re only the 4th worst team in the division – yay! There’s so much more fun down in the championship and div 1 and the fans are better too. You can imagine how gutted I was yesterday when we only went and beat City ;) Anyway, hope you boys stay up – reckon you will as well.
10 February 2013 at 2:23 pm #103110we wouldn’t have been in this mess if we had learned from previous seasons what are weaknesses were

the battle is not over and other clubs seem to have had a some good runs but Wigan so far haven’t.We seem to have an uncanny knack of getting into the groove at precisely the right time e with our current manager and I think you will find after this result with City clubs will take you very seriously and results may be just that bit harder to come by from now on.
I seem to remember Blackburn sneaked six points clear last season then just fell away as they all thought they were safe on 28 points.
Another factor in this turgid league is that once clubs hit around 30 points at this state they start to coast so even some of those clubs can get dragged into it.
Saints are a fairly big club as they should be in what is basically a non football part of the country so they should stay up but expect a trickier ride from here on in!10 February 2013 at 4:42 pm #103117we wouldn’t have been in this mess if we had learned from previous seasons what are weaknesses wereAre you really thick or do you just pretend to be thick so as to fit in?

I can read your post a million times sunshine but it will still insinuate the same thing. Firstly you wouldn’t mind us going down cos we will be more competitive and therefore win more games. Presumably hoping that we win enough games to be back in the same league and plight we are in now, with just a one year break and more importantly, missing out on the money of “warchest” proportions that teams will get in the prem league next season. B)
Secondly, although you can’t afford to go watching the tics away for family reasons, you would manage to get out of the house for the extra 4 games we would play in the championship? Please don’t put yourself out for the sake of Wigan Athletic pal.
Like I said initially, ok I’m not disputing that you have been watching Latics for years, but this has to go down as one of the most selfish threads ever posted on here….sick of um losing FFS!.I’m sure if you ask him nicely Filmoss will give you a bit of financial backing to watch a few more games this season, out of all that lovely dosh he gets for chammying about.
