Maybe the ‘owd grey fooker’ can pay Robbie Keane’s wages, because the club certainly can’t afford them.
To talk of getting shut of Hugo and Fig at this stage is ludicrous…..
we need bodies in not out!
To talk of getting shut of Hugo and Fig at this stage is survival. That’s what we do, and that’s how we stay in business.[/quote]
Can you just clarify, survival from WHAT exactly?
Relegation?-Surely you need to keep your best players, rather than lose your left back and leading scorer mid season?
Post Relegation Wage-Bill? So the possibility is real then? Are they actually thinking at last that we might just go down? Are our fans starting to worry?
Not being funny here, but to suggest that we HAVE to sell these players now, is rubbish. I’ll go so far as to say that if we do sell those two, and Nzogbia as well, it really will be as though we have thrown the towel in. And if we don’t at least replace them ‘like for like’, and I doubt we will, it’ll just be more of an excuse for people to not go/stop going to games. I’ll be honest, if they go, and we don’t bring anybody in, I’ll feel like staying away myself. What’s the point?
How can they expect the fans to have ambition, if it appears the club doesn’t?
What makes me laugh is that DW has had a go at the fans before via the media yet in my opinion seems to do nothing to bring them in ! He has stated he WILL stick with a manager who like him or not has us in a pretty perilous league position. He forked out 6million for a striker who everyone and his dog knew would probably score a hatful of goals with a foil up front but then sat back and watched RM completely scupper the new lads chance of scoring by shoving him up front on his own ! Then he sat on a sun lounger in Barbados while this record signing was readied for a swift exit via a 6 month loan to Genoa ! Now we hear that our one and only goal scoring striker is maybe about to go leaving us with nothing but the hopes of a kid who has only ever played in the reserves !! Apart from Boselli these may just be rumours, but if they do happen and we dont replace anyone who goes then we will go down it really is that simple !
And not much else happening, regarding players coming in.
This really gets on my paps this. Below is the transfer activity so far in this window. Yes, we’re the only club in the whole league not currently doing business, aren’t we?
