I only saw your sign saw briefly before KO. I take it you didn’t feel like waving it around much after that?
My suggestion would be to get behind the team and manager in the games that are left and to go for a ‘regime change’ after the season has finished (if that’s what you really want). Can’t see that any good can come from calling for the managers head at this stage.
Progress with UNITY anyone?
9 March 2010 at 7:32 pm #25906I saw the fella with the banner in es3. What an idiot, I was intrigued to see his reaction at the end of the game but I think he had gone.
9 March 2010 at 7:58 pm #25910Funny how not too long ago pretty much everyone on here was saying Martinez out.
I ask all the haters one thing, which other Latics manager has beaten a top 4 club?
Martinez has beaten 2, so it isn’t a fluke.
9 March 2010 at 9:30 pm #25918Deary deary me.
I’m Mr Banner waver, and just because we managed to beat Liverpool and Chelsea at home it doesn’t mean we are going to stay up.
Tini, I was as pleased as you were that we picked up three points. I think you are confusing my right to make a statement with my apparent satisfaction when we lose!!
I’m bored to death of him playing one up front, and I if I didn’t support the Latics, as an opposing defender I’d be laughing my head off when the only forward was Jason Scotland (who scores as often as John Terry keeps his underpants on). I mean Scotland even tried to cut his hair to give himself a morale boost. He has a job paying thousands of pounds per/wk and he thinks ‘chopping his locks’ is a motivational tool!! Martinez has been making a pigs ear of managing the best side we’ve ever had and the only thing he’s managed to get right is to keep kojak over there warming the bench.
Martinez is playing his best striker on the left hand side of midfield! You watch at our home games against the botton six. He’ll play an 8-1-1 and park a trolley full Paella in front of Kirkland. Hasnt he noticed we have one of the worst defensive records in the Premiership??
We have the best starting 11 we’ve ever had. Its all about managing them correctly, unfortunatley Mr. Martinez is out of his depth and if he needs a lift back to the Costa Del Sol, as long as we pick up Gomez on the way to the airport. I’d gladly drop him off.

Please never come to a game again? my time to go… bye uncalled for banner man and Mr. Haisley.
9 March 2010 at 10:18 pm #25922Who are you James? Winding me up.
As for the banner holder We need to get behind the team
at this time not criticise the manager, what good is it doing?9 March 2010 at 10:23 pm #25923Funny how not too long ago pretty much everyone on here was saying Martinez out.I ask all the haters one thing, which other Latics manager has beaten a top 4 club?

as i said once before on here-
I ask all the martinez lovers one thing, which other latics manager has been beaten 9-1,or 12 -1 aggregate v spurs or 10-0 v united or 4-0 against the worst team in the league or a – 27 goal difference -0r getting hammered 3 times in a season by teams from lower down
martinez has overseen all those ,and like you say-it isnt a fluke.
9 March 2010 at 10:24 pm #25924I really hope this is a wind-up.
Congratulations.
In your first post you have managed to demonstrate that you are clueless about football tactics/formations, that you are childish (a grown man bringing a banner to a football match?), and that you are ever so slightly Xenophobic.
Carlsberg don’t do first posts, but if they did…
9 March 2010 at 10:43 pm #25925Clearly a wind up , and not a very good one either.
The dig about Scotland having his hair cut gave it away.

Scottie lost a bet with the players, had to have a crop when he finally scored a goal Notts County FA cup 23 january
Trouble is he’l have longer hair than Russell Brand before he scores another :roll:9 March 2010 at 11:31 pm #25935In all honesty, as long as we play like that last night, with the mix of battling and good football…….I really don’t care what league we are in, but would trust that the two would go hand in hand anyway.
10 March 2010 at 12:04 am #25942Tini, I agree with you about getting behind the team. I was screaming ES3 to the rafters when we scored. As for getting behind Martinez I cant’. He’s a Manager well out of his depth and if we get very, very lucky we’ll stay up. He won’t take us forward though.
StandishWalker, As for being clueless about football are you suggesting a man with more than 600 posts is?? I didn’t appreciate your comment about xenophobia either! Should we not expect more from a man with so many posts? The 8-1-1 was a lighthearted joke but seeing as you see fit to get personal I have noticed you may have misspelt your username – by maybe just one letter.
Carsberg dont do second posts, but if they did……..

You didn’t actually go last night though, did you ?
10 March 2010 at 12:31 am #25948Yip, I was the one holding the banner. My mate rang me on my mobile because he noticed that someone had started a thread on here.

Please don’t bring the banner to Bolton.
Can I tempt you to join loudmouthblue naked on the Douggie bridge, selling Cockney Latic and wearing an “I Love Roberto Martinez” placard if we win at Bolton ?
