6 March 2019 at 1:46 am #176866Windass n Powell up top on saturday?
can’t see that fella.lol.
6 March 2019 at 1:49 am #176867Well, Windass with Powell behind.
6 March 2019 at 1:54 am #176869Derby were terrible and we still lost. Can’t string two passes together. I’ve backed Cook but don’t think it matters what players he picks were awful. If Leon Clarkes a footballer there’s a chance for any of us.
6 March 2019 at 1:54 am #176870The end is near .
6 March 2019 at 1:55 am #176871That was poor and one team got lucky.
6 March 2019 at 1:56 am #176872Cook said at least we’ve kept the goal difference down
6 March 2019 at 1:58 am #176873I personally would give Garner a start with Powell.
Windass and Clarke have had enough chances to prove they aren’t shite, but fail every week to convince us otherwise.
Garner can’t be any worse than those two donkeys.6 March 2019 at 2:01 am #1768743 points from the drop our away record is dire we in the shite now….cook should have gone in December. Oh is because of brexit.
6 March 2019 at 2:21 am #176876Clarke had 3 chances , 1 half chance but the 2 headers ? and both off target. That first header should have minimum forced the keeper to make a save, he only had to direct it on target but instead went for power and hit it with his shoulder !!.
Derby were there for the taking but Cook set up to nick a point which sadly failed.
Roll on Saturday, I bet Reading are quaking in their football boots
6 March 2019 at 2:41 am #176878We ain’t gonna get out of this coz Cook simply wont change anything. He sets up not to lose away well guess what Cookie we are. He says he will give the youngsters a chance once we are safe well guess what Cookie your tactics and the players you are picking are not good enough to get us safe. I have backed him to the hilt all season but the negative way he went about the home game v Boro tells me he has simply ran out of ideas. I fear for us at Reading coz it will the same old story play not to lose. Gutted.
6 March 2019 at 3:28 am #176879As some on here clearly pointed out a while back, there are 3 worse teams than us well that’s down to 2 now and at this rate it will be down to 1.
Some are living in the hope others fook up while we slowly slide down
and down point by point.
The only one I can see failing is Millwall simply because of the FA Cup and a string of a away games but saying that, they won at Derby so……
You simply can’t just get rid of 2 fowards while in the mist of a relegation battle then replace with a guy who’s not up for the job in the hope you can draw your remaining games.
I said it months back, players and managers alike all have limitsCook has found he’s, League One at his best.
6 March 2019 at 4:23 am #176880Is it even worth writing up our thoughts? Feels like we’re only repeating ourselves.
Second half we just fell apart. Win would’ve been great, but I’d have taken a point. Went from looking in control, possibly extending our lead, to a lower division side holding on in a cup game.
Has anything changed since Milwall away in October? Even when a goal up it seems inevitable we’re going to lose. Game management is non-existent with so many points ******away. We now have a fully fit squad and I firmly believe in the players we have. Selections, tactics, man management, game management. All below par and costing us.
I really don’t know what we’ll do. Feels inevitable we’ll drop into the bottom three. Whether it’s this weekend or a few weeks down the line. The impression I get is Cook and the team still don’t really believe they’re in a relegation fight.
6 March 2019 at 9:16 am #176881Awaiting the positives!!!!.. Cook should have been ditched in December. What has improved? Negative and certainly can’t get the best out of his squad. Powell warming bench again….Cook cried enough when he was missing about what a player he is….then start him ffs.Getting even closer to bottom 3 now…the rosy brigade still believe were too good !!!!…Come on…does anyone really think we can win another away game ?? Reading will be crapping themselves.!
6 March 2019 at 10:38 am #176882It is between us, Millwall, Reading and Rotherham. I still think we will survive it is just going to be slightly more bumpy than we first thought.
We were excellent yesterday until their equaliser. It came from absolutely nothing and was the only thing they had created all night. They got the wind in their sails, the crowd got behind them and the rest is history. We still missed two glorious chances at 1-1.
Leon Clarke doesn’t look anything like the same player he is at Sheff United. Yes the create more chances but all of his goals were not tap ins, he scored some belters. Not sure he would score a tap in at the minute. Time to shove Windass forward and drop Clarke for me.
I might be the only one as well, but I am not sure about Reece James in the middle. Much prefer him on the right.

Got to try him on the right of attacking midfield with Pilkington on the left and Powell in the middle with either Garner or even Windass up top.
Morsy and Evans are a problem too as they are just too slow at getting the ball forward so one as to go for the young Everton lad, probably Evans. Set up to win again and play to win and we could win at Reading. Settle for a draw at 3 oclock and we will be in the danger area all game. Our 18 year old on loan wonder kid could be our saviour but thats up to Cook. -
