Tell you what, let’s just go for Wheater and not queer the pitch by offering either of them.
We’re also supposedly linked with an Espanyol youngster, although the club hope to get around £8m for him and another promising team mate.
Nico Pareja is his name, yet another defender though: but it is somewhere we sorely need to improve on.

You would think that we’ll be playing seven at the back next season. I think we’ve got to the stage that every Spanish player capable of kicking a football is getting linked with us; except the good ones.
If we signed just two or three players but got rid of all the dross, I think I’d be content.
The one with the dodgy hips. I think his elder brother’s agent is putting out that story about us signing him. If he ain’t good enough for a relegated side like Burnley he certainly ain’t good enough for us.

Could change Gohouri for that new fella depends on their respective World Cups. Although as of now I would tend to agree with you.
I wouldn’t be suprised if Figueroa has moved on come the start of the new season.

Tend to disagree on both counts. Boyce is a better right-back than Mendy and so i’d only want a right-back coming in who would actually do a better job than Boyce, failing that let Boyce play that position, which he does rather well.
And Kris Boyd is relatively young and has scored a shed-load of goals for Rangers (In an admittedly Championshipesque division). However he wouldn’t cost all that much (is he on a free?) and I cant imagine him being on high wages. We need someone who can score ten+ goals a season and be somewhat of a bargain. I reckon he’s good on both counts.
I believe that Mendy is a far better right back than Boyce..Is all opinion though really.
He is on a free BUT I have only just read the article and found this out, so in that case i would take him to see what happens. Still think there is a BIG chance of him being a flop but why not take the gamble if he is free? Don’t know about the Scottish league being Championshipesque…Maybe Pub-league-esque ;) :lol:
