Quality. I wonder if he’ll have his full name on his shirt? Max Power doesn’t abbreviate.
28 January 2015 at 6:12 pm #138846So what do we do ? carry on with players that just aren’t good enough ?. Name me one player that’s going or gone you are totally gutted about ?
If they were any good we wouldn’t be in the trouble we are in right now. We didn’t even go through a small period of the “new old manager syndrome” were you bang a couple of results out we are that bad.
This is slightly worrying, I am starting to agree with you.
Well, more accurately, you are starting to agree with me ;)[/quote]
never28 January 2015 at 6:44 pm #138847BREAKING NEWS
West Bromwich Albion sign Callum McManaman from Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old has agreed a three-and-a-half-year deal, with an option for another 12 months.
28 January 2015 at 6:51 pm #138849Constant comment from Mackay seems to be ‘the deal is in the best long-term interests of the club’.
Interesting.
28 January 2015 at 6:59 pm #138850“There’s been a lot of interest in Callum over the last few weeks, but I have made it clear that we need a squad of hungry players who are 100% focused and committed to the job here. There comes a point where you have to do what’s best in terms of the player progressing in his career and what is financially the most beneficial for the club.
a bit more interesting

29 January 2015 at 2:54 pm #138881Malky Mackay’s Wigan Athletic have agreed a deal to sign Leeds United duo Jason Pearce and Rodolph Austin, according to Goal.
Wigan are set to sign Austin and Pearce from Leeds
FLW exclusively revealed yesterday the news that the Latics were set to complete a deal for Jason Pearce for an undisclosed fee.Pearce, 27, has been at the Yorkshire club since 2012 after moving from Portsmouth, and he has accrued over 100 appearances during his time at the Elland Road outfit.
The defender was the subject of interest from the Premier League in the summer transfer window from Burnley and Crystal Palace, as reported on FLW, however Malky Mackay’s Wigan Athletic now look set to complete a deal for the defender.
Wigan look set to fend off interest from Cardiff City to sign Leeds’ midfield general Rodolph Austin.
The 29-year-old midfielder has found playing time somewhat hard to get under manager Neil Redfearn, and the Yorkshire club are to let the Jamaican leave in January.
Austin has made over 18 appearances for the Whites this season, scoring once, but has recently fallen out of favour with most of his appearances coming from the substitute bench.
Wigan Athletic are in dire need of fresh faces as they currently lie in 23rd position in the Sky Bet Championship.
Malky Mackay’s side have thus far accumulated a mere 21 points from 27 league games, and lie five points adrift of safety in the division, in what has turned out to be a very poor season for the club.
Meanwhile, Wigan Athletic have also completed a deal to sign ex-Leicester City striker Billy McKay, as reported on FLW.
29 January 2015 at 2:56 pm #138882Sounds like he could fit in well with Kvist who has really impressed me in the last two games.
