Deer oh deer, you and you’re brother reelly are a pare of pilloks aren’t you?
Picking someone up on a speeling mistake, instead of maturely debating a topic, you’ve hit a new low fil, maybe you’d be better off watching your local team, leyland motors or somebody, you wouldn’t be mist I assure you ;)
Griff, I apologise, some piss ants on here deserve all the contempt they get, fuckin retarded morons, if a psychiatrist spent 5 mins on here they’d section the lot of em!
By the way, I would say that this post was a mature and level headed view on things but you decided to condescend said post because it wasn’t of the same view you have !
“In all the time I have been coming on here the old site included it has never been this divided to the point where sheer vitriol is being banded about !! There is no harmony for a reason and I believe that reason is because some people have ambition and a want for success and some are happy with their lot ! Nobody is in the wrong with their respective views but something is awry when this situation is ongoing ! Lessons have clearly not been learnt from last season and the natives are slowly latching on to it ! Go on the other Latics sites, its not just here ! Ask yourselves deep down and put your sentiment to one side for a minute what you think has gone wrong with WAFC ! Forget the past as well because this is a new era for the club and 10,000 plus fans have jumped on the band wagon whether you like it or not ! I believe that we have a squad of players that utilized properly could have us sitting safely mid table right now but that isn’t the case is it” !!
Filmos, you don’t need to be a genius to work out why there is such a divide. It’s because there is a large portion of the support have only ever known the good times, and so have an unrealistic expectation of the club, frankly it’s silly to expect the latics to be doing any better than they are, when you weigh up all the circumstances, which have been repeated on here to the point of pointlessness!
The older heads, and any newer fans with more than 2 brain cells, can see that Wigan are punching above their weight, and that relegation battling is about as much as we can expect, sure you can hope for more, why not have a bit of optimism, but get real and understand that the most likely thing is what’s happening now. We’ve been through worse, and football is full of ups and downs, a true supporter will enjoy it all, and be behind the team and manager regardless, I mean Jesus h Christ, there’s worse things than relegation, so why all the constant moaning and repeating of the same bollocks?! It’s like watching cbeebies coming on here, with the sensible posters keep repeating the realities, and the poor retarded children running around and coming out with sentences that make no sense.
Funny for a while, but ultimately pointless!
I refer you to my earlier post, spell checked for your good self, read the bit about a true supporter getting behind the team and manager regardless, and about keep repeating the same bollocks all the time, I know it’s a differing view to yours, that’s what a debate is, the only thing is that my opinion is right and yours is a load of bollocks, End of debate

2 of those were non starters cos I don’t think they want to be on their own or pushed out wide .We also tried to get Maynard 6 months before but wouldn’t stump up 3.5 mill asking price so missed the boat on that one .Does any poster know the reason Maynard turned us down last window because I do ?

The third one was Odemwingie – who turned us down in the build up to this season.
I’d like to hear the reason why Maynard turned us down, and how you know the reason?

Because he took one look at this board and thought fook that !
I know the reason was because he wanted assurances that if Wigan were relegated his pay would remain the same.At the 11th hour he was informed that the club insisted on a 25% pay cut if this should happen. Why should he sign for a team that through no fault of his were looking likely to drop and be expected to be penalized financially .If the club wanted him a reasonable request like that should have been readily accepted. He would have been an excellent acquisition for our championship charge should we have gone down.I can assure you that thes eare the facts but I am not at liberty to reveal how I know this.
No reason to doubt what you’re saying there Mr Brownbill, sounds about right to me. I can see whelan asking for that to be put in, it makes financial sense to the club, but again it’s cost a potential match winner, because the lad said bollocks to that. I know whelan is trying to get the club running on a sensible financial footing, and seeing other clubs going to the wall only justifies his approach, and he’s past pumping money in that he won’t get back. It’s only when other clubs start doing the same that players inflated wage demands will come down, there has to be either rules put in place regarding maximum wages paid out, or more responsible chairmen getting together and saying enoughs enough. I know that people say that it would have to be a worldwide thing, but I really don’t believe that to be the case, they can’t all bugger off abroad for better money, and alot of them aren’t good enough anyway, and thats the point, mediocre players getting superstar wages, and superstar players getting lottery wins for a salary. It’ll come to a head one day, and some clubs will suffer big time and clubs like Wigan will hopefully be at an advantage then, having already run the club the right way anyway.
