Few people on Twitter saying he’s pulled out.
Why are people thinking he would be using this to try and get extra transfer funds off Whelan?
Bobby knows our financial situation perfectly and will be aware he gets everything we can realistically afford. He’s not going to demand we dig ourselves into more debt for him to reject Villa.
My personal opinion is that Olembe, De Ridder and Bouaouzan were not given a chance so i think it’s unfair to stick it to them because they didn’t get a chance.
Boselli has only played a handful of games and i still think he can come good. You don’t get called up for a nation like Argentina for a laugh. He has goals in him, it is just whether Martinez can find the key to unlock them. And there was nowt wrong with Edman. He was belting for us. He had a shocker against Tottenham after a year or so out and never got another chance but before that he was an ideal replacement for Bainsey
I based it on how they did for us, rather than overall ability. At least 4 of those have played in the world cup so there was talent in there. Maybe im a bit harsh on Edman, he was great before the injury. After his comeback however he was poor and the Tottenham game was one of the worst performances ive seen by a Latics player in the Prem.
Not really on topic but
Stoijovic
Olembe Hall Webster Edman
De Ridder Kapo Bouaouzan
Aghahowa Boselli ScotlandSome team is that.
5 subs means 2 mins 30 seconds, and the goal means an extra 30 seconds.
So for the extra 2 minutes, i have no idea.
I will be at Stoke singing my heart out and I really believe we will stop up, but and it’s a big but. As usual the talk is of players leaving I know financially we have to sell players but we will loose Charlie, Hugo rumours Momo might go Figs and James McCarthy Tom Cleverly, Victor Moses has been linked with Newcastle. No other club is run like ours Bolton and Blackburn don’t sell players like we do and there crowds aren’t that much better than ours and they pay much higher wages.Bob and all his supporters say that we are a work in progress a young squad for the future of Wigan Athletic. B@ll@cks we sell all our best young players and ok that might help the coffers but it wont get people to pay to watch week in week out. I don’t expect us to play in Europe or even make the top ten but it would be nice if we were competetive.
Every club in our situation sells their best players – we have just been fortunate to have quite a few in the past few years. Most teams like Wolves & Bolton arent seen doing it just because they don’t produce great players. They are a team full of mid table players, compared to us having a mixture of some great & some sh1te players.
Newcastle sold Andy Carroll without him even having a full season in the Prem. And Blackpool were all set to sell Charlie Adam in January until time ran out, without him even having a full season in the Prem. With the exception of Palacios i think everyone we have sold has had at least over 1 year with us.
At the end of the day we are a business and selling players is an essential part of this. The only way round it is to make ourselves better with what we’ve got so there are less teams for our players to progress to.
Why does it sound mad? I’ll bet my son’s education that he starts with the same teamIt sounds mad because the stats suggest that 11 lost 2-0 and the changed team won 3-0.
We’ve had a different starting 11 in most games this season from game to game, bit weird to be betting your kid’s education on it.
Hugo is useless out wide. He is inconsistent as a lone striker but out wide he doesn’t have the pace or skill to beat a man.
Back 4 will be as expected, although im very worried with Stoke having a big pitch we’ll get caught out once or twice with our 2 center backs being as pacey as my gran.
Moses plays better as a sub, and if Stoke are knackered then perhaps its better to play him from half time, to get the same impact as last week.
Sammon we have never seen from the start, but he makes a useful & lively sub, again perhaps he would be more beneficial coming on when Stoke are getting tired?
Sounds mad but I think id start the game with the same team from Sunday. even though we lost the first half 2-0 we battered West Ham and those 11 are our best at playing it on the floor – which i think we’ll need to do, as anything in the air will be won by Stoke’s numerous big b*stards. Then get Victor on for the second.
Al habsi
Boyce Caldwell Alcaraz Fig
Watson Mccarthy Diame
Nzogbia Cleverley
RodallegaIve sent you a PM with my details.
Thanks

Sunday is all about whether our players want to be remembered as heroes or also rans who crumbled under Sjoke’s aerial bombardment.Did you not go yesterday? Watch the second half again if you don’t know the answer to that statement
By their strength i don’t just mean set pieces but crosses. They seem to just hoof the ball in the box then score with their knee, arse and whatever else. Basically the type of goals we gave away yesterday are what Stoke are good at.
The club REALLY should arrange something
Stoke’s strengths are our weaknesses so it’s not gonna be an easy one.
Why can’t we just be playing Sunderland at home?
Tottenham have not won in their last 4 home games.
For a club of their size, id be surprised to see them go 5 without a win at WHL.
