There is still about over 3 weeks until we play Blackpool. If we have lost both Titus & Figueroa by then without replacements we should be worried, but it hasnt come to that just yet.
That Laurent Merlin looked a superb player having come on as a sub in the second half tonight. I noticed before the game, all the back room staff were making a big fuss of him. Everyone in the stand was saying who is this No. 7.However,………20 mins into the second half, he began to look like a non league player just tripping over the ball and giving it away.
Lets hope this was down to lack of match fitness and being a bit ring rusty.His career to date doesn’t sound overly impressive. If you can’t make an impact in the MLS then i can’t see it happening here.
I’m not gutted because im never completely confident with him still being prone to a mistake.
I think he’s replaceable, especially if you consider how bad the back 4 was last season. Although the jury is still out with Gouhouri & Caldwell, Alcaraz has never played in the league before and with no right back it looks like we need some new players and fast.
And ONE million? Surely there must be something more to it?

From what I have heard, Whelan bought out Vandanel before they went bust “to save the club shop”. And a week before MiFit was announced as our new kit supplier Whelan bought them out too!
They have just simply took the designs put forward from Vandanel last season and stuck a Mifit badge on them.
