I’ve seen funnier car crashes, what a load of absolute shite.
Griff, you want a kick in the balls for keeping the thread going, you must be bored mate.
And Rodger, before you start, Fuck off.
In all seriousness, his name will be in the hat, DW asked for applications, so he’s bound to have applied, Christ, there’s some absolute shit going to be on that list, I hope DW is his usual astute self when he makes this decision, we could be in for a long season otherwise!
i heard today alex mcleishWere you at a shit managers anonymous meeting?
In other news…….massive fire consumes London, reports suggest fire is ‘great’.
As far as I understand it, Bobby remains manager of Wigan Athletic, but has told DW he wants to leave, DW will let him leave so long as he gets compensated for it, simples.
No
Tell Everton or wherever Roberto goes to to get fooked if they think they’re nabbing any of our players…bar maybe McArthy who we can use to fund at least 4 new players.Secure:
Joel. Al Habsi
Ramis, Golobart
McArthur, Watson, Espinosa, Jones, Gomez
Kone, Maloney, Macmanaman, DickoFind: 3 CBs, RWB, LWB, LW, RW, Striker
Play passing football, but not always build from the back
Shoot more often and test defences/keepers, looking for the rebound/second phase
Don’t fanny around with short corners and crap free kicks.
Invest in young, hungry, Britsh talent.
Take Europe seriously.
Do everything I possibly can to win the hearts of the fans and maintain strong attendances.Try doing that with no money and you’ll realise why Bobby has called it a day, there’s only so long you can try with your hands tied behind your back, maybe at Everton he may have at least one hand freed, we’ll see how good (or bad) he is then eh?
Graeme Jones
Does that mean you’ll know the result about 14 hours before we will, can you pm me the result, I’ll put £2 on correct score.
As I have no children and am not married……..
You’re not Cliff Richard are you?
My first game was in 1656, remember it like it was yesterday, can’t believe my little club has got to the fa cup final, I’m welling up here.
Dave, why will it affect us so badly if we lose out on the TV money for being in the prem?
A very good question John!
My understanding is that as a club we will still be financially secure as the majority of the TV money is spent on Premier League wages which IF we get relegated will drop considerably.
None the less with the increase of approx. £10 million in revenue per PL club next season the worry is it will create a bigger gap between the quality of the Premier League and Championship and we would like to be on that ship when it sails.
Then again its a strong possibility that the quality wont increase at all but players will still be paid more especially by the clubs coming up who some times have to offer that bit extra to secure a target.
Hopefully the likes of Crystal Palace will have the common sense to put in the essential clauses that we are reported to have in our players and staffs contracts.
God forbid they should find themselves in financial trouble again and have to write off another considerable chunk of their tax bill to HMRC so the rest of us can pick up the difference.[/quote]
My thoughts are that we don’t pay premier league wages anyway, I’m guessing that our wage bill is actually the same as some championship clubs, and our transfer policy has been shrewd, add to that the work being put into youth development and a long term ethos at the club, and I think that we are structured to be in either the prem or the championship, it shouldn’t matter financially which one, although the prem is obviously preferable.
I really don’t think there is anything to worry about as supporters, it’s not for us to worry about financials, there’s enough to worry and moan about. Dave Whelan is as sharp a a tack money wise, and the inevitable foray into the championship will have been built into the structure of the business.
Might not happen yet anyway.

You should buy one Egg, be worth a fortune in years to come, there’s only 8 other people got one, rare and pointless, like a faberge egg, egg.
I said 12 months ago that he’ll go to utd, and I’ll stand by it, he’s just the sort of player fergie likes, he’s just what they need if Anderson goes, be good business all round, and good luck to him.
