Well seeing as I made it up about making a banner and the fact that you mentioned “the self righteous been/done/seen it all merchants with stupid feckin banners ” I would hazard a guess that you did indeed believe me and therefore in my opinion you bit like one of Arky’s fish !! ;)
You need to “hazard” a better guess than that my friend…..or at least give credence to understanding the context as it was written – for your optimum conclusion was outwith a margin of error I would normally have allowed…………someone with an iota of an education….ergo
your opinion is bullsh1t.
ha ha ha i’m minus 5 now and unless i get it to an even keel i’m heading straight for The Championship in a Tesco shopping trolley. Sleepless night tonight for me worrying about it NOT! B)Sleepless night for you….but for other reasons.
Thinking of all those poor souls you could save from debt and debauchery…………….. What are you going to cook/prepare for the upcoming Christmas soup kitchens in the square…………taking a large turkey to Roberto Cratchet.
Life is tough and you have to sort it all out…………
………I await your name being revealed in the New Years Honours List.
NOT.
We have them all on here tonight !! Space cadets spouting vitriol,do gooders who don’t condone stepping out of line and then we have your diatribe merchants just to keep things ticking over nicely !!
Just finished painting my banner tonight, its well smart and to the point !! :oops:you forgot to mention the self righteous been/done/seen it all merchants
……..with stupid feckin banners
I am telling you now, if we don’t do a job on Blackburn there will be a revolt because the protests of the Rovers lot will rub off on the Latics fans !
By the way, the banner bit was a wind up and you fell for it !!
Don’t give me the “I fell for it lark”…that’s bollox and you know it.
Of course we need to “do a job on Blackburn”…..I wrote about that earlier…Gladiatorial and all that with attitude. We will see what we will see if there is indeed a revolt……..
Bring it on.
not disputing his abilities as a centre half for Club or Country. what I’m disputing is his abilities as a person just like you and me. He is loaded financially but spiritually and emotionally he is bankrupt!
Who would you rather have then……Father Ted?
Just because Jack is sh@ggin someones missus from Pem does not make him a sh!t forklift truck driver over night…..and the truckie who takes the ‘goods’ out doesn’t give a rice etc etc….and it goes on.
Don’t even start about how he should be a role model….that’s bollox – he should be our best Centre Half and that’s about it really.
Let him without sin cast the first stone and all that……
(I could have put the verse in there, however, I don’t think there is a bible/moral among those reading this post…….)
Did you actually read the first part of Bob On The Moon’s quote that you quoted ?????
Yes….and did you read my part where I mentioned he should be our best centre half and that’s about it…..?
Fil……what do you want on the pitch? Winners with halo’s or what. Tell me you are a true saint and have never done anything (similar or equivalent) and I’ll retract my thoughts on the subject.
I’m not holding my breath chap.

A bit of attitude on the pitch might just be what we need.
So what kind of attitude would you like to see then? Reckless challenges, arguing with referees, falling out with team-mates, or spitting at opposing players perhaps?
Bless me Sammy for I have sinned……..
OK spitting is a total no go, however, all of the other ‘attitudes’ above have not stopped other teams getting their act together – it’s all in the team dynamic. Gladiatorial is the correct attitude – encompassing suspicion, aggression, conflict, belligerence and mind-set. We sit here on the board, and in the stands, wanting the best for out team…playing ‘beautiful’ football…scoring goals and picking up points – yet some of us want to pick a team from the local catholic boys school down the road…….FFS
Just like that spaced out idiot on another thread spouting off about the England captain – it’s total bullsh1t. Yes you lot with your morals and you high horses sat in ivory towers….you lot who have never ‘erred’ in life (and that covers everything from nicking, sh@ggin someones missus, smoking illegal stuff, lying and thieving (the worst in my book), fraud (on the benefits…my taxes), violence (in the stands and on King Street)…..yes all you lot.
If you think that Terry et al are the root cause of all the problems our kids are giving us now then people need to take a good look at themselves.
Lowtonlatic is quite right……more attitude on the pitch, more aggression, more pushing the boundaries
let’s kick Blackburn off the park on Saturday and take the points –
– end of.
My Karma is up and down like a bride’s night dress. What gives!?…………..about ten pints in the ‘Brick’?
Roll on the Blackburn game, a superb display of quick passing football, a few well executed goals from our lethal strikers,3 points and then at least a weeks break from listening to you set of moaning tvvats!

jr what the fook have you been drinking????
I want some
Aye, easy… that’s a bot optimistic even for my tastes!
Looking forward to the Blackburn game too Mr JR. Looks like griff, et al, cannot remember who they support or for what reason they write on here (they need to get their ‘celebrity’ heads out of their own arris).
can’t wait……. ;)
PS…..what’s the weather like up there?
Its not that bright an outlook actually, all i can see are major depressions.
Have a good week-end chap. ;)I dont expect to, I find weekends without latics, even the “beautiful game/shite” served up by martinez, rather dull unless its a nice summers day and i can get a bit of sun whilst fishing.
Amen…..
Perhaps you could please give me a “synonym” for phrase “the beautiful game” as i cant find ‘shite’ in any thesaurus i have.PS. I’ll be in my “ivory tower” awaiting your reply.
My dear fellow
you must know by now that swear/slang words of that ilk are not allowed in said publication….

However, in the ‘Grown Ups’ version it can be defined as:
“The effect of living by false beliefs”……..
as Marc Anthony once said……”Opinion is the main thing which does harm or good in the world. It is our false opinions that ruin us.”
……or maybe you were actually looking for the physical presence of ‘shite’ in your Thesaurus.

Being 26, Rockport was the roll call in my teenage years, But my dad claims that Doc Martens 70 odd lacers were the sh*t and he had a pair to show off to the girls on his suped up FS1E (fizzy)Fizzy’s were for girls……..blown away by my mates on their Honda CD50’s (Yamaha should have concentrated on musical instruments – and what was with that goppin’ purple colour they all seemed to come in) oh! and they couldn’t off-road like my Garelli Tiger Cross.
Doc Martens?……dear oh dear. :(
mr pass it sideways :P
Those four words have just summed up why ‘the beautiful game’ will never catch on with you average Wiganner.
‘Gerrit forward! Aim fot big lad up front’
i am no advcate of the ‘Gerrit forward! Aim fot big lad up front’game standish, but by christ if you or anyone else thinks the stuff served up by martinez’s teams for the past 2+ seasons is the “the beautiful game” you all need to get treatment for your delusional thoughts.
goodpost goodpost goodpost
The last time I saw someone clap like that after having heard a comment like that they were licking windows on a ‘green bus’…….
….and you LMB have the audacity to lecture those that disagree with you on how Roberto sets out his team and his footballing ethos when you do not give credence to the reference that Mr Standish made.
The Beautiful Game is a synonym………….but you knew that but chose, yet again, to take to your ivory tower – how is the view;
……..however, that said I do believe that all that has been served up in recent years has been in deft reference to The Beautiful Game…….and yes thank foook there is no ‘Gerrit forward! Aim fot big lad up front’ left in the Premier League – and the reason I find his thinking right.
…………please form an orderly queue please. ;)
At last things are happening.I’m sure I’ve just seen Bob Stokoe near Robin Park. B)
Unless you’re a ‘medium’, SMB, then that would be pretty much amazing……
Let’s hope my next, milestone, post is celebrating 3 points and a good performance rather than having to have the usual ding-dong with my Darkside friends.COME ON WIGAN!!!
Have I missed something here Griff? Have you always been ‘Andy Liddel’ or was that a moniker you picked up after hitting the big 5G?
Well done chap, by the way…….. goodpost
