Need some flight in mid-field if we are going to collect any points this season. Watson is too light weight, and seems to think is role is to play on the centre backs toes, ask for the ball and them belt back an uncontollable pass to them which puts them under presure, or goes back to Kirkland to launch for a 50:50
We were so poor… this was a chance to get 3 points in the bag before Chelsea and Spurs. We’re going be under so much presure now against flat face when Sunderland come to the DW
The defence is okay on paper, it’s just the way it is set up and trained which is the problem. We were torn apart so often in the first half we could have been 6 down.
Moses looked like a school boy on a day out too, not too bad once he had the ball under control, which only took 3 or 4 touches, but he was clueless about his positional sence when they had the ball…. if he had been given any instructions he obvioulsy didn’t understand them – poor trainging again. RB is not showing any signs of cutting the mustard at this level I’m afraid. No income from the lack of money through the turn-tiles. Turnout on Saturday was an embarrassment. Can’t blame DW for the lack of interest from the people of Wigan
Drove up from Nottingham with my 10 year old lad. I only get to about half a dozen games each season due to the distance I live from Wigan – so you can all shoot me down for being a part time fan. The performance was shocking…. but the crowd was more of a joke.
Not getting past 20,000 and at the price of tickets this season is shocking, and a huge embarrassment. Dave Whelan as got every right to put us up for sale and sod the lot (few?) of us. 6th season in the Prem league, and still can’t generate interest from the locals. Not surprising the players want to leave – if the locals can’t be bothered to turn up and cheer why should be players show an passion?
Was optimistic about this season, but after the way the team played, and the complete lack of interest from Wigan in their own team, I can’t see any reason why Wigan deserve to keep Premiership status.Neil Mellor – He’s one barrel chested, non mobile, deceptively slow striker
and Paul Daglish. He had his Dads massive backside, and a belly to match it.
Has to be Jordi Gomez, apparently he’s tactically astute so if he sits in the stands he could pass on his knowledge and advice to those playing….. or, Caldwell as you suggested..
New record on this Forum…. three posts in a row in full agreement!

We’re playing okay, just not putting the goals in. 2 new signings should help that, and 3 points against Moomin face Bruce will make the table look a lot better. Caldwell will help the defence, and them we get shot of the tat like Koumas in the Summer and alls well with the world.
Tuesdays game v Notts County was at the DW. Calm your hormones down and worry about Fooball matters
I live in Nottigham, in Tesco here they have Arsenal, Man U and Liverpool Brithday cakes week in week out. This place is full of ‘The big 4’ team shirts. I always ask if they are enjoying their Holiday in Nottingham – they don’t seem to understand the humour, but it cheers me up!
