Birmingham manager Alex McLeish is in talks with former Toon winger Charles N’Zobia … and the deal could be completed next week … even though Man Utd have shown interest.
If N’Zogbia does put pen to paper, he could be playing alongside the player Newcastle fans LOVED to hate!
Former Mackem Kevin Phillips revealed he had no decision to make when Birmingham manager Alex McLeish yesterday offered him a 12-month extension to his contract at St Andrew’s.
The 36-year-old striker had attracted interest from Middlesbrough (and other clubs) but once McLeish offered him a new deal he says he “jumped at the chance”.
Phillips, who joined Blues in the summer of 2008 from West Brom, is extending a career which has also taken in stints with Watford, Sunderland, Southampton and Aston Villa.

I’d have that team and I agree SWP has been very bad for England.

I didn’t watch much of the game analysis, but by the sound of it, Rooney wasn’t too happy with the fans.
Rooney will play as lone striker against Slovenia, with Gerrard just behind, I hope :roll:
On the point JT was making about next years league, could we not do both Premier League & FA Cup, but in the FA Cup do only a selection of games ?
I bet you could buy most of the Algeria team for the price of a Rooney, Terry or Lampard.You could buy all of them for half the price of Rooney, there all average players & that’s talking about Algeria.
