It’s not just what they would have offered as individuals it’s the message their inclusion would have sent out.
Hart was outstanding yet left out because he was considered too young yet our team was taken apart by a German team containting much of their U21 squad.
Adam Johnson was left out for similar reasons in addition to proving we are willing to play players out of position simply because they are a big name.
As for Michael Dawson he should have been included on form alone.
Thats before you even look at recalling Jamie Carragher ahead of Phil Jagielka or Paul Scholes at the expense of Joe Cole.
top and bottom of it his capello picked the wrong squad of players and by talking carragher out of retirement and trying to do the same with scholes,smells of desperation to me
think i would give becks a chance,he knows the players as well as anyone,he showed passion during the short time in africa.He is also trying to keep football alive in the younger kids by opening these football centres up and down the country
Video technology is something I’d agree with, but only to see if the ball crossed the line, as football is not as stop-start as rugby or cricket.
Whatever happened to the chip in the ball technology. I agree that any technology, new or taken from other sports, should only be used to decide if a goal really is a goal or not. With the amount of stoppages in football nowadays it wouldn’t disrupt the game too much.
put a electronic chip in the ball so when it crosses the goal line it beeps in the linesman or refs ear, they are already wearing headsets so the game wouldnt have to stop at allYES
Are you Loudmouth by any chance :D and No what I said before in another thread
The former Wigan rugby league chairman has replaced long-serving chief Derek Shaw in the Deepthroat hot tub after joining Trevor Hemmings’ Nob End revolution.“I’m a ****, I’ve made many promises, but what I can say to Nob End fans is that I will do everything in my power to help Nob End back to where they belong in the basement of English football,” said Lindsay.
“I know Nob End fans will want their wet dreams fulfilled, every fan does, and I want that to happen – but there is a tough road ahead.
It will not be an easy ride, it will be rough and hard, but there is so much going for Nob End.
“I walked into Deepthroat yesterday, saw the stadium and came in my pants, ‘Wow, what a **** hole’.
“Maybe some supporters will be deciding whether or not to buy a season ticket after I was appointeed chairman, but I’d say to them, ‘Have faith, we can achieve something special working together, something real special’.
“Preston’s cum through a difficult time, and it can only cum through with the determination and penetration of the players.
“We don’t want people who are just in love with their pay packets, love me too.
“They will have to bend, twist and blow, be hungry.
“I hope that everyone who wears the white shirt of Nob End is hungry and fit and has that desire to play for the once famous badge.
“The manager will know that better than me, but that’s the philosophy I’ve always worked with.”
Lindsay got straight down to business this morning and one of his first tasks was to suck off manager Darren Ferguson and his backroom staff.
“He has a fantastic member but I’ve always loved a challenge,” he added.
“In 1979, when I took Wigan Rugby League club over they were bankrupt, when I left them they were bankrupt and homeless.
“When I took charge as the dictator of Rugby League I sold the sport down the river, negotiating the Sky deal with Rupert Murdoch and I was tournament director of the Rugby League M62 Cup.
“There are many things I want to do at Deepthroat, but my first duty at Preston will be to propose a groundshare with the Wigan Warriors, try and bring some confidence to our investors, then make sure the club is run into the ground.
“I think one of my biggest assets is that I have a liking for sportsmen, how they tick.
“I was team masseur of the M62 rugby league team for five years and I understand how a dressing room works.
“Sport is all about winning, and while Nod End have no divine right to do that, I’ve found the harder you **** the luckier you become and I’m determined to ruin Nob End.
do you write for the daily sport problem page,if not you should :lol:
Cant get my head around this :!: why would a man( :roll: )who is a life long chubster become a directer at our great club,then jump ship to become the chairman at one of our rivals and pay off ther tax bill of nearly half a million :?
You would seriously have SWP in your starting XI? He has been one of the worst performers of all!James;
Johnson, Terry, Dawson, A. Cole;
Milner, Gerrard, Barry, J. Cole;
Heskey, Defoe.
And as far as subs go I would bring on Lennon at some point later in the game as an impact sub, Crouch for Defoe and then Rooney for Heskey.
yes i would have swp to start,how did you come up with hes one of the worst performers when he as only come on as a sub, and what exactly as lennon done

I have noticed that the less white stripes we have on the kit, the worse we perform in the league – is there a correlation there?
2005/06, 5 stripes – Carling Cup Finalists, 10th position
2006/07, 0 stripes – 17th position
2007/08, 3 stripes – 14th position
2008/09, 3 stripes – 11th position
2009/10, 3 stripes – 16th position2010/…..18 red stripe-position horizontal,p i ss ed as a lord ;)

Some people on here….I think Roony was right to say what he did. Why would people pay £1000’s to go to South Africa to boo their players?
OK, England wasn’t that good, but we didn’t get beat and still can qualify.
Don’t you think Rooney himself knew that they didn’t play well.
