The Bury away game was one of our first seasons as a League club. I remember it well. FREEZING COLD. All the Latics players were slipping and sliding about on an icy pitch. Bury had special studs on their boots. Which Latics players got after.
Graham Taylor , now over the Football Players Union played for Bury. I think we lost 3-0?Yep he scored a penalty at Blackburn. A game we lost So his contribution i.e. Goals???, as his agent said kept us in the Prem. Didn’t have any bearing.
Not forgetting :-
Ref Chimbonda ” He is not going for a penny less than £8,000,000″” Every Blackburn Rovers fan will get a free pie”
“Maurice Lindsey has always been a Latics fan”
I am not getting at the guy. I believe only for him we would be playing F.C. Utd not Man Utd. I just wish he would KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT
