The New Den. Mmm, that’s one of the egg chasers grounds. They probably own that in their deluded minds too.

Good shout Donny, especially Mackem mon and the bell ends on WT :S

What a stupid idea, it looks like someone got the notion after watching the Wigan rugby v Brisbane Broncos game a couple of weeks ago! :S

Not much contact from the slutch rats that night hence the 12-42 scoreline.

I hate anything to do with rugby with a passion, particularly the klumps, but do you not think football is going the same way?
Certainly do, when you think back to what Ron Harris, Tommy Smith, Norman Hunter, Graeme Souness etc used to get away with, and that was part and parcel of football in those days.

Even though i still love modern footie i like to watch DVDs of the old boys on muddy pitches and the tackles flying in! :)

Watched this in the Marquee last night – Whilst I agree that was a good point in the circumstances, if Milwall had any decent strikers or had taken their chances, this could easily have been a serious whitewash – we lacked any pace from the off, kept giving the ball away, couldn’t find our men and looked lethargic. Still, a great point nevertheless. Oh and ref was absolute shite.

That’s what i mean when i say we’ve come along way in the past 12 months, even though we where off the boil last night we got a crucial point with 10 men for 2/3 of the game, and maybe we are the happiest of the two teams.

I take your point on the Millwall finishing though, hats off to Jussi for a couple of tremendous saves!

Well done lads, to get a point at that place (and Millwall are no mugs) with 10 men for an hour speaks volumes.

It just shows how far we’ve come the past few months, a well earned point and could be very important come May.

            Up the tics! :cheer:

Ain’t felt like this for a long a nervous wreck. Everything crossed for Gary and the lads tonight C,Mon Wigan.

Quietly confident for tonight, to be honest i get more confident by the week.

It’s actually a joy to watch the lads these days, unlike last season when we where the whipping boys, what a difference 12 months makes.

Had a look through the fence today whilst walking the dog. I’ve don’t work on there years ago and it looks to have improved such a lot. Pitches are in perfect condition and it looks altogether a very professional place.
Was wondering if the Bolton staff will be taken on and do we keep all the machinery etc. If not that will be another expensive affair.
Bolton have maintained this place to a top standard so hopefully there will be no corners cut on pitch renovations etc. I have noticed that every year a professional outfit are in there {Mallinsons one of the countries formost experts at this type of work} to re surface the pitch. Basicly the top layer of old grass and rootzone are stripped and then a new surface is created with rootzone and new seed. This usually happens as soon as the season finishes so let us hope we are still going to budget for this professional treatment.
                Professional players need professional pitches.

Knowing us we’ll let the eggs use it through summer and won’t be able to do the neccessary work and ruin those pitches aswell.
Careful Horc, the Otter and Smutty don’t like us bringing the Rugby on to these pages, I’m surprised they haven’t tried to give you a telling off yet! :woohoo: :S

Thanks to Donny and Horc for sharing my views and having a sense of humour, lets hope we tonk the Black Puddings today, we owe them one big time!

With reduced allocation of fans for away games if any more numbskills run onto the field of play, well I never seen that coming. Simple answer Wigan stop giving us high blood pressure and put these games to bed my heart can’t take it anymore.

Rather have celebrations and atmosphere like that than they do at the rugby, more atmosphere on the moon than with them lot!

Anyroad it’s all petty stuff, no harm done. Up the tics!
For God’s sake will you give it a rest about the rugby. From what I can make out you normally post on Wigan Today. Well please go back and spout your puerile childish tripe there and let the sensible ones have a chat here.
How come you haven’t posted that comment to others on here? The threads are loaded with anti rugby comments, and has for sensible conversation you may want to try joining in instead of trawling the site trying to find summat to bloody gripe about.

You need a sense of humour and post a comment on topic for a change, miserable git!

There is a thought. Where do you buy Hull shirts?

And that’s why the probably won’t do it – and it works both ways.

There are rugby fans on Twitter saying they are going to buy tickets for the Rochdale end and turn up with Wigan RL flags.
Just a thought like but how’s about both clubs offering free admission to season ticket holders of the other team, might go some way to mending relations between fans.

The only ones who are moaning are those who rely on public transport to get home which may not be as frequent as it is on a regular Friday night. Perhaps the Hull KR fans aren’t happy, but they don’t travel in huge numbers any more, so that would only affect around 100.

For the majority of Warriors fans, 8pm is a great time to play – spend the BH with the family doing something and then off to the rugby for the evening.

The Stadium Management should be commended for their ability to put on two sporting events in such a short space of time. I hope their efforts are rewarded by large numbers turning up to support both games.

Smutty or would you prefer your other alias “Big Flags Everywhere” these days? :woohoo:

No worries there will be a good turn out from both Latics and Rochdale fans, according to what i have heard/read the the glory hunters that live outside of Wigan won’t be attending for the 8pm kick off, you’ll be lucky to get 8,000 on.

Looks like your Chairman has had his belly tickled again!

Don’t mind a 1.30pm kick off on a Bank Holiday me, dont think Rochdale will mind too much, not far to travel, sooner have that than a 8pm kick off.

The Slutch Rats can’t say owt, at least we try to accommodate them one way or another, its only right that the stadium owners call the shots
