When all is said and done James has a right not to sing his own national anthem and God Save The Queen is the National anthem of James country the UK so leave the lad alone he is as British as us all and it is his right to sing or not sing like everyone else is in our country. He can play the Republican card all he wants but he is still from Ulster which despite allmighty intimidation from Republican terroists is still part of the UK.
I havnt really any gripes with Sunderland but how long will it be before the likes of Sunderland have to live within their means. Wages these days do not relate to gate receipts but to other money from Sky, Sugar Daddies or raised through share issues or further debt. How long clubs like Sunderland can sustain their debt whilst struggling along perennially near the bottom yet paying huge wages, who knows? but at some stage the debtors(and Sunderland are moderately well off at 93 million in debt)will pull the plug, call it in or take measures(just like Whelan did)and then we will see the inevitable happen to them. (relegation and selling all the big earners)
So Mutts it is only a matter of time before Sunderland will be in the poo and the moans will be heard around Wearside as far up the valley as Killhope.Good riddance to the piece of shit!
So that’s an easy one then Latics could open an office in Springfield and have that as a business adress. Who would pay the business rates for the DW then???
Official figure Torch.
Over 1200 tics in the 1800 crowd. Brilliant. Latics playing an ugly sideways game rather than pushing up. Winning two nil though.
In hindsight it would have been a brilliant move to have removed Thatcher but unfortunately living in a democracy the people just kept keeping her.Shame really because we could have become an impoverished country like Spain and The Irish Republic and took money from Europe rather than give it to bolster our economy. As for Dave Whelan and his comments…well that’s Dave.
I understand your point of view Nuneaton but do WRLFC pay the same to Wigan Council as Latics? If not, why not?
Surely the upkeep and maintenance of the stadium including the pitch is paid for and is the responsibility of the Landlord and paid for out of rents paid. If in initial agreements rent was based on turnover then that is fair enough but business rates are a tax from the local authority and are the resposibility of the businesses that operate from that property so surely WRLFC must pay the same as Latics as they are a business based there. Rigalletoes will have ates to pay to the council as another business. There is no way all the stadium business rates are due to Latics unless they actually do own the stadium and have included the rates in the lease to WRLFC. If that is the case do Latics actually pay rent anymore because it would be strange to have to pay rent to yourself.
So what are Wigan Athletic now, Landlords, Tenants or both. To me we seem to have always been a meal ticket for the council.
I understand that busines rates are based on the rateable value of a property payable by a business that operates from a property whether they own it, rent it, lease it etc. Business rates are just a tax on anyone or thing that has any guile or enterprise and you pay it and get nothing for it. SFA. If the eggs do not have the same bill as Latics then something is wrong. That is unless Latics actually are the landlord and the tenants rent is inclusive of their business rates. If that’s the case great we do actually own the ground and Whelan did transfer ownership and any rise in our expenditure should be reflected in the tenants rent.He got most of his goals for MK playing as a lone striker. He may have had players working around him. He is going to need quality attacking midfielders to help him out. Looking back to the Altrincham game we played with Billy up front on his own with Wags and the Bowton Mon wide. Fingers crossed it will work for him at Latics. So if he is to be our lone striker where does that leave Billy, Holt and Davies? Bench warming or sold/loaned out?
But do they pay the same business rates as Latics??
Does that mean he will be coming back?
Not really sure how this legalised robbery works Mackem but I think it is based on the businesses that operate from a property and it that case there is Latics and them lot who operate from the DW.
I know Vince a couple of years ago they loved us when we put Wigan on the world sporting map now the swines are showing their true colours again. Fifty Shades of Red!!!
