Pretty much like last season but at a lower level. Still one up front. Wags and the Bowton Mon out wide.Enterprising and workman like show by the Donkey lasher.
We will when Tavs leaves before the end of the month. Or possibly let a striker take penaltys.
Conceded a goal pissing about in defence rather than getting shut.
We’ve seen that before.Grigg 20 goals last season. How many would he have scored playing the role of loan striker like our strikers have had to do in recent years? Hopefully Gary changes things and gives Grigg some assistance this time around. Who knows he may even play him on a regular basis.
I don’t know about Waghorn and Tavs being our better players, they couldn’t get in that shambles of a side last season and neither could Billy.
But Tez Waghorn Mckay and Tavernier were signed on Championship wages. We will off load any player we can on Championship contracts.
Where was Don Cowie? On the golf course?
Well just as long as we see the style of play he tried on about a dozen occasions that will be great. As for 150 or so games we may be in for yawn. Who knows Gary may not want to bore us silly and settle for a point until we go behind and pass around our own defence to leak goals like a colander. He may go for it, playing attacking football, full of goals and played in the opponents half. We shall get an idea soon. Hopefully whatever style he plays he keeps a consistent team and is not too stubborn to change his formation if things are obviously going wrong.
Watch out Lostock don’t have an opinion and watch out even more if that opinion is anti Bobby’s style of play or about his coaching ability.
Anyway Horc and I are going to Alty to see the lads.I would have had him playing last season and defo the coming season. Problem could be he may be on too much money to be playing for us at the present level so we may have to let him go along with the others.
That is true Egg but I am meaning not going into a massive amount of debt without doing anything about it and this helping your cause for promotion or to avoid relegation. Hats off to Burnley, although relegated they stayed away from amassing huge amounts of debt. Not like QPR who despite continually disregard for any financial rules continue to be allowed to get up to their dodgy dealings but with some justice .. the relegation they deserved. Blackburn and Noblot would probably be in our position if their spending was curtailed.
I thoroughly agree because at the end of the day he has a limit of what he can pay and also pay out in wages. Would be a bit more of a level playing field if all clubs had to operate under the same financial constraints as our club.
Sorry about that Egg. The memories of those amazing days all blend in. Let us pray Gary returns to the type of football we played throughout the Migjty Jewelers era.
Cheers La. Just wondered thats all why he was being classed as a signing. I reckon this group is coming together as a Div 1 squad, hopefully with the ability to keep us up. Wouldn’t yet get too exicited about going up and the hundred point thing but let us see when the pre season three stage plan is over and we get down to it.
Out of these so far who will be the Liddels, Bullards, Ellingtons,McCullochs, Filans and DeZeuws etc to take us up?So he was released but stayed and played to the end of the season or did his contract expire at the end of May?
