All the five I mention fall in to LHLs category but one of the clubs we have beaten but technically we haven’t.
Well Vince there are at least fifty or sixty reasons but we are there now and angry but we have to get out but as we know even when we had money going into the club during our rise it wasn’t easy and took an amazing manager and probably the best set of team players we have ever had to do it.
Running a football club costs a fortune. We know now it is not just a simple thing as sell players or receive your parachute payments and spend it all on players. Look at the finances at Cardiff, Blackburn and Bolton and the debts they have. Crazy debt and that is just to sustain a position in the Championship. Compare them with Burnley who have not played the ‘spend the greed money game’ and gambled. They may be relegated but relegated with a sustainable club for quite a few years. Same as us and once the anger subsides at least we can look at things and see we have a strong healthy and financially sound club because at some stage the banks and investors in the Cardiffs, Blackburns and Boltons will call their money in and there will be another Portsmouth or Leeds or worse still a Hereford United, Newport County or Maidstone United. Maybe there needs to be! To wake football up.
Ha Ha. It has to be the allsiders now light or dark. We wont walk this new league and shouldn’t expect to. It took a few attempts last time with some great players to do it with. Had a few piss takers at work today and they just couldn’t get me going. At one time we would have done anything to get up to the third tier. There is nothing wrong with the third tier. It is a league to be respected and if we take the Billy Big Bollox attitude as a club or fans we deserve to be in for a shock. If we respect the league we are in and the clubs and fans in the third tier we will get respect back and hopefully move on up again.
We will have to deserve a promotion and earn it both on and off the field.Relieved the agony is all over and things are going to be on the up from now.
That’s what we will all have to get used to again if Gary gets his way.
That is the idiotic bullshit that has fucked this season up. Pathetic.
Will that decline continue? Could do, who would have predicted this car crash of a season. Heading down at Christmas and did nothing at all to halt the decline apart from bring in journeymen and loanees when we all know the simple things that needed to be done.
That’s right Yokey and also its about having a consistent partnership and style of play. I reckon if any two strikers had started the season in pre season and played games together over a sustained period they would have had to be bad not to have bettered our strikers strike rate. I probably will get shouted down once again but our ideal man would have been Grant Holt but with a player playing off him or behind him. A player with a proven record like him was treated harshly by Uwe. Instead it was Fortune on his own, Riera on his own, McClean on his own all season. Clarke had a little go at partnering Fortune but they were just so similar. Fortune has had a work rate to equal McCleans but he is no goalscorer.
I cant help but wonder why there hasn’t been a prolonged period of a strike partnership like Fortune with McManaman or Maloney or Waghorn or Delort or McKay.
Riera with the same or Holt with the same before his injury.
We have had pace out wide with McClean and surely with a partnership tearing into the box on to some of these crosses maybe we would have got just one or two wins to at least have stayed in the league.Keeping quiet and feeling a bit battered and waiting until the end of the summer window to pick up the scraps. Seem to be in a pickle. Hope that’s not rubbing salt in the wounds but he cant be that enthusiastic after watching these puddings this season. Only codding, we havn’t had our chips yet but its hard to paper over the cracks but if he can eat some humble pie he will be back and curry us along to a large portion of happiness next season and if Grandad opens the till we will rock and wont skate on thin ice again.
So many this season it could not have been written. If it had been written it would have taken a really obscure mind to have thought this seasons goings on out from last July.
If all the factors for a suicide season where would the count be now? Into the 50s or 60s.
Would be an interesting list except some on here would still disagree with 95% of them.
Number 1 Rosler promising us the fittest squad in the Championship around July 2014.Wish it would hurry up. Looking forward to the new season. Big question, can we get a win in autumn and winter and beat this years three home wins.
Lets keep our fingers crossed for Brentford now. That would be a great triple for The Greed League. Rodney would show his face then.
Under Gary we wont need them nor Billy ,Fortune or Holt.
Let us hope it is all sorted for the day they all turn up for pre season. A very small squad hopefully to keep the swapping and changing to a minimum.
May get some decent home friendlies too against the big clubs squad players. Liverpool and Man Utd usually send out sides to their lower league neighbours. No foreign trips or camps but good honest friendlies in this country. -
