The one last season was our biggest of the lot. An amazing achievement.
One of the biggest upsets in cup history.

Cracking day with Latics filling the Platter Lane Stand.
Misty murky day. The replay tickets were printed in readiness all 33,333 of them. Shame that never came off because of Dennis Reeves boot splitting.
Remember Doug Coutts saving one on the line and the side included Sir Gordon Milne (way oh) Derek Temple, Graham Oates, Geoff Davies.
Brilliant day.
Waited a long time to revenge that day and have done that in style since with two FA Cup giant killings and the less remembered league cup win oh and a double over them one season in the league.
Sir Gordon Milne, Sir Gordon Milne Way ho!!!

Puts into perspective what we achieved at Wembley and in the win last season after the way they demolished Watford yesterday. Maybe they should have contacted Cooky,Martinez for advice.

Or even The Great Paul Jewell and Uwe Rosler.

You do them a disservice lads, embrace the summer football tournament and enjoy it, if you proclaim to watch non league standard the the women’s football is at least as good as that. I will enjoy it anyway,

It isn’t patch on non league football, I would put it on a level of lads Under 15’s football at the very best.
I did hear that prior to the last major tournament England Ladies had a warm up match against England Schoolboys, and the margin of victory to the lads was that great the press were banned from reporting on it and it was kept under wraps.
Needless to say, I won’t be watching much, if any of it.
Struggle to watch any football on TV. That’s for all the Utd, Robberpool and Arsenal fans and all the others who say ‘we’ but never ever go to live games.

Lopes and Windass are two examples but on a smaller scale.

Must have been spying down Bolton way lately. Picked up some tips on how not to get promoted. Poor old Leeds.

I can’t stand the thought of all the bullshit the media will come out with about Frank Lampards Derby if they win the Play Off Final, but I don’t want Villa to win either.
It’s a pity WBA buggered it up , as I’d have preferred them to go up out of the four.
Feel exactly the same. Was hoping a small club like Brentford could make it or even Bristol but Lampard no thanks or Villa no thanks.

How about Kelly’s Bell and Roy Roughleys Winter Nips in the paddock next to the dungeon shit house with no light.
Come on Latics they’re only picking praters these men.

Springfield Borough, what a mess that made of the pitch too.
Again like selling the steel work from the Shevvy End done to try and get some extra income. Again another tip for Bolton, get a lodger in to contribute to help pay the bills.

Never seen a side as bad for cheating as Brentford this season. On par with the greed league those men.

Well that’s fantastic. Is that Bobby Campbell? Who is he grappling with?

That is absolutely brilliant work. Was it from a black and white photograph?
Pop side looking great. It was a dump old Springfield but somehow I much preferred it to the New Springfield. Egg free too.

No fan of the greed league but 97 points and lose 1 game all season yet still finish runners up. Bloody hell that is unbelievable.
Also to have to win 14 games on the trot to actually have to win the league is also just bloody unbelievable.

It was added to the existing shack at the top in the early seventies. It was going to go along the entire width of the end.
It was sold for scrap to help with running costs.
Horwich Wanderers should learn from this and a ready made programme on 4 or 5 about life in a Bolton scrap yard could give them further revenue as dismantling takes place.

The club were in dire straits and did indeed sell it for scrap to help pay the players wages. Anyone who hasn’t read The road from Wigan Pier should get a copy. Its a brilliant read and tells the clubs history.
We actually made a profit on the steel. Has Anderson moved the cranes in yet?
