Bet they’d still rip the away fans off.
This week kind of reminds me of a glorious 5-2 win away to the nobbers that sent them down to the old forth division. Fans crying at the end made it even better. That was from a young Latics team earlier bereft of confidence, particularly after a bizarre 3-3 draw with Cambridge (with the 1 brave away fan).
Whatever happened to that team?Lets hope their quiet till the end of the season.
Beer goggles are good goggles!
Very much looking forward to your report gig.
As I saw it
The magnificent Garner bulleted number 1
Son of Mrs Massey skipped away for number 2
A divine comedy made it 3-0
Some scabby effort made it 3-1
King Jacobs scored a cracker for 4-1
Some scabby effort 4-2
Clarke accounts for the 5th
I’ll drink to that…..
……and I did!
Work is the curse of the drinking classes
I’ve been calling Garner not fit to burn, bag of…., and other stuff all season but now he’s got the bit between his teeth, shows what a bit of confidence can do.
I’d love Clarkie to prove me wrong too despite my comments about him elsewhere.Brilliant lostock but thats a bit harsh on Clarkie isn’t it???
I get where your coming from soprano and as good as it was yesterday far far from perfect, but with Powell, Massey and Jacobs all playing again it is a bit like getting the old band back together again, which is what Cookies was saying when they were injured. This newcomer Garners looking a bit good too, when did we sign him?
All I can say is that I’m working on a pissitation that is taking years to complete, despite having completed a considerable amount of fieldwork. I take a balanced approach to my work usually with a pint in each hand.
Truth is I get a bit giddy whatching my beloved tics away, especially when I meet like minded students of ale.I’ll drink to that! Maybe Cookie will join you.
Grumpy, you need to drink faster, take larger gulps, plan ahead for maximum intoxication. I’ve practiced this for years and finally got the hang of it
Good morning, the sun is out. I don’t know the truthful answer but a “respectful celebration of hugs” sounds appropriate.
I thought we saw all sides today, great attacking scary defending, could have been 8-5, bad subs, Garner was great (I’ve called him useless all season), Clarke was a liability (I called him our great hope). I know nothing, not slept all week thinking about Latics. Bloody football eh!
