Grid iron ! They should be concentrating on the Morphy Richards iron !
Oh and griff, you are wrong ! I bet you feel a right tit now eh !The Football Supporters’ Federation is undertaking a season-long project to measure the experience of the away fan. We would like to assemble the thoughts and experiences of fans in the Premier League and Championship throughout the season, the ultimate aim of which is to improve the lot of the travelling fan.Using the results of this study we intend to discuss with clubs and the football authorities, in an academic fashion, what keeps fans committed to travelling and to the sacrifices they make, what they look for as a travelling fan, what they hope to see, what they don’t enjoy and why they feel valued or otherwise.
It doesn’t matter whether you attend one match a year or every single one. You can fill in the survey as many times as you like, applicable to whichever fixture(s) you have attended. The survey only takes a couple of minutes to complete, and naturally all answers are given anonymously, and no personal or identifying data will be passed on to third parties. Ever.
If you’ve been to an away game this season please take a minute or two to help us out at http://surveymonkey.com/s/away-fans
Thanks!
I would like to take this opportunity to warn you in advance of the illiterate reply that you may very well receive from one of our fans !
That’s me and Standish for you, Yosser – we just cannon off each otherOff the snooker gags for just one moment while we pause for thought at the connotations of Griff’s dare I say it entry !! B)
Ouch!
At least the victim sat straight up and didn’t writhe around feigning serious injury ! Having said that women’s football is awful to watch even at its highest level !
Standish – 10 years? The lad is 23?
Yes, that’s right. He was in my older brother’s year at school.
They use his head as a cue ball sometimes ! :P
Latics in general :
– same points tally as same stage last year / inferior goal difference
– 7 points worse off for teams playedAll things considered; i.e. stellar finish to 2011/12, close season investments, more experienced squad etc., I’d say more disappointing start this year than last, personally.
My personal opinion is we’ve played much better football at the start of this season than we did at the start of last season and we’ve been rarely outclassed like we were last season.
By this stage last season we’d won one, drawn two, and lost five – including a 3-1 against Everton and a 3-1 at home to Bolton.
Edit: sorry thty5yearswafc, didn’t see your post. If looked as purely as figures (maybe as an accountant would) it’s very similar. If looked at on their performances, in my opinion, it’s much better.
Don’t forget that this time last year we were on the worst run in the clubs history !
Thty, Stop trying to create the divide between the board again. I have spotted you trying to do it a few times now.
You are going to have to elaborate on scapegoat because that is not the case and you are wrong. So far Ramis has been poor and a good few goals that could have been prevented by us have gone through him. That isn’t making a scapegoat, That is saying how it is. Why tred on egg shells saying he is doing well if he just isn’t. He might do in time but i very much doubt it. That is where i disagree with Standish. I think his lack of pace in a league where it is bombed from end to end will be the undoing of him here. He would have been well suited at West Ham though if he had gone there because as you say, He is strong in the air and his vision from the back going forward seems very good.
If our system and the way we play cant get maximum points out of West Ham it really will be panic time. And the rumblings start again. Fans (in general) will not pay if there is no value for money and/or no attempt to amend results or the squad.
Divide the board/forum no way ,I was merely pointing out that the fans have to have a scapegoat last year Jordi got the rough end of it when results were going tits up this season it’s Ramis who is getting the crap thrown at him . As for panic stations if we dont pick up three points against the hammers dear god man grow some balls will you I’m sure the alarm bells at other clubs who have spent a lot more than we have will be in panic mode
I suggest you read the Boyce link above ! Even he knows that things need to change and fast !
Do you think that he has told Roberto or is Roberto oblivious to all that is happening on the field and has to find out in a newspaper article ?
From some of his post match interviews I would say that he is oblivious ! Either that or in complete denial !

Well at least the penny is dropping with Boyce !
Just what we need another scapegoat hot on the tails of Jordi you lot make me laugh
Gomez, Boselli, Cadwell, Alcaraz, Watson….there’s always room for another scapegoat!
Now when you see those names together you do have to question RM’s integrity !! B)
Do you actually know what integrity means, becasue what you have written doesn’t make much sense?
The state of being unimpaired, soundness, Perfect condition or even trustworthiness come to think of it ! ! ( Of mind is what I intended when I wrote it )
The brackets bit is a joke by the way !! I of course meant that he is not the perfect whole deal that many think he is with some of the signings he has made ! The word integrity can be used in that context ! ;)
What happened to the team that finished last season with a flourish ? Our defence is a big worry and with the ambassador of hoof-ball and his merry men visiting on Saturday I fear it could be a busy day at the office for the back line !

I have watched Stam a couple of times in the reserves and his ability to get a good cross in is superb ! We do have options to change things but you know how obstinate our manager can be ! You only need to look at his persistence with Watson to realise that !
£5m !! Early indications would say what a waste of money !
Tug of the shirt would have done the trick ! Caldwell against Everton blatantly fouled Howard as he was about to release a player because Caldwell needed to get back in position. It goes on all the time. TyldesleyLatic has hit the nail right on the head re Ramis for me so far he has not been value for money !
