Phil, he was beaten for pace by a quick lad, but then the ball was touched by at least another two players infield. If you can seriously blame Ramis for that goal, you also need to blame Caldwell or Figueroa for no closing the goalscorer down, Boyce for not tracking back and leaving Ramis to cover the flank, James McCarthy and James McCarthur for not being in a position to cut out the ball that came back inside from the left wing….etc.[/quote]I did change to say he was a major factor and also questioned Boyce’s AWOL situation !

I think this site has a more light hearted humorous side to it the majority of time. I find that serious football analysis can be quite tedious at times and so some good old fashioned ribbing and lads bravado is a nice change. Granted there are a few knobs and some might think me as one but I am on the whole light hearted and do like a laugh, it’s just my nature !

Phil, you’re right about falling 2 goals behind but not about two other things.Firstly, yes we should expect the liner to get it right, that’s his job.
Secondly, I don’t count the keeper going up for corners in the 90th minute as fannying about with sideways passing.
Ali went up for the final bit of action in the 94th min ! The 5 mins or so prior to that involved quite a lot of patient build up play when in fact we should have taken a gamble and really gone for it ! As for the linesman, it was only really apparent with the benefit of the replays. Decisions like that are pretty hard to call in real time ! To sum up, on the whole it was a pretty bad display against an average side !
One might question where was Boyce ! Not that he would have been quick enough ! Are you watching left wingers up and down the country ! Right wingers can also take heart ! The middle is ok but the outside bit ….Well !!
Swings and roundabouts ! So the linesman has the ability to watch the guy at the moment he crosses the ball and also monitor the scorer without the benefit of peripheral vision ? We cannot rely on whether it was or was not a goal when we have fallen behind to 2 very weak goals ! Why did we not threaten their goal prior to the 2 goal deficit is my question ? With 90 mins up on the clock we were still sideways and back passing when surely we should have been chucking the kitchen sink at them ! The excuses prior to today were better teams ! Are Swansea a better team and if so who should we beat then ?
