With just 12 goals scored at home this season and just 15pts from 18 games we are currently sitting at the bottom of the home table! According to the link below we are also currently in with some pretty shit home scoring stats that date back right to the beginning of football! ( Scroll down to fewest home goals in a season bit! ) Kenny who?

….but offset that against the cost of going down to League One…might have been worth it.

Not many people know the Championship as he does.

Kin’ell where have you been ?

So how many houses will they be able to fit on the old golf course? Who bought the land? The club or was it Whelan’s own money? If it’s the club’s money then surely there will be some massive return one day right? Can football clubs do such business? So many questions! I did suspect that it was never going to be an academy though !

Yes it was but LCC put too many barriers in place. I am guessing the land was bought by Mr Whelan, not the club. So when he sells it on it will recoup his money.

BTW, where the hell do you think the money came from to buy the Bolton’s old training ground? Even more investment that he will NEVER see again.
I’ve not a clue, do elucidate!
Doesn’t seem to have Mr Whelan’s name on this very official looking document, in fact it says ‘Wigan Athletic Football Club’ You’ll no doubt worm your way out of it saying WAFC is Dave Whelan but in the eyes of the taxman I think you will find that the 2 are not the same!

We were clinging at straws when Gary went and saying just the same. Let’s hope this comes true this time.

If I remember rightly, we went down to Neil Warnock’s Cardiff and won the match after Gary was sacked….. then lost to Reading at home, which brought us crashing straight back down to earth!!!!
The Cardiff win wasn’t anything to do with Joyce though as he had literally just arrived at the club! We should have done what Blackburn did and fired him off a few weeks back, they are unbeaten under Mowbray ! It’s headlines like this ( see below ) that I would have liked to have seen this season not that bollocks of an ethos Joyce had!

For me Barrow is in the same boat Shearer was in when he was given a similar amount of games to save Newcastle from the drop. Shearer unsurprisingly failed but at the time was thought to be in a win win situation, a hero if he saved them but not thought too badly of because of his respected status at the club if they went down! I personally would like the next managerial appointment to be someone who is allowed to bring in his own backroom staff and just start afresh.

The Charnock Richard Gold Club fiasco still leaves a bad taste for me! What happened to the money from that? I called it out as a load of bollocks back then and got berated on here for saying it but I knew I was right. It will have houses built on it one day with not a penny from it coming back into the club! The club had a great chance to move forward and instead decided to downsize and we do look like we are on our way back to whence we came I fear! The 1500 or so ‘Goole away’ crew are looking forward to it!

I’ve paid for my season ticket and therefore supported the club but I won’t be bothering with any other games this season because Barrow in charge is akin to dropping out of the frying pan and into the fire in my opinion! Joyce should have been ousted several weeks ago and I feel we are in a very dire situation now as a club with relegation looking most likely! Come the Summer the club needs a wholesale clear out, top to bottom, wheat from the chaff etc and hopefully bounce straight back up again but until then I’ve seen enough shite for one season !

Never understood these ‘Team For …..’ threads? A complete waste of time and pure conjecture! We have a manager albeit not a very good one to pick the team!

Just 12 goals scored at home this season and just 9 points, pretty dire home form is that by anyone’s standards! Until I see an improvement in said home form then I shall continue to be pessimistic ! 0-0 anybody?

We have had 6 draws as well as the three wins Phil, so that’s 15 points in total at home.
Still dire though especially having only scored 12 goals.
I meant to say just 9 points gleaned from wins!

What’s the script with these highlights? Surely we had more chances than the single bit of action ( The goal ) they show! Wigan Youtube channel as well?

Pity Rovers scabbed a late equaliser and that the others drew as well but 2 points to the better ain’t a bad night’s work away from home! Forest ain’t safe yet either, they looked very poor against us !
