I think you need to read my post again. The season is going pretty much how I expected it to and from now on there is no reason why we shouldn’t storm this league, now we’ve got our tactics and first team squad pretty much sorted.
I also stick by my point that a lot of the football up to now has been turgid on a lot of occasions, to say I’ve enjoyed it would be me lying. I can’t fault, on most occasions, the players efforts but I am a football lover not particularly an effort lover.
Any road it should be enjoyable, in the main, from here on in.
Watch Crewe go and do a job on us now!
Perhaps the board is quiet because people looking for genuine debate have given up and left it to those who just want to argue and abuse ….. just a thought likeThey are always lurking in the shadows though! ;)
White Denim are alive and kicking and will be playing the Deaf Institute in Manchester on Monday 15th Feb.This Sunday at The Soup Kitchen Manchester will see The Night Beats from over the pond, supported by the superb Cult Of Dom Keller!
These two bands survived last night as far as I know and are alive and kicking!
I don’t mean to be pedantic Samantha but Lemmy died last year! You missed out Mott The Hoople’s drummer as well!
I remember Chelsea doing us with a contentious late offside goal and Bobby was just as incensed that day!
An old season ticket makes a great scraper or any similar credit card size plastic card, gone in seconds!
I hope he doesn’t go there as I have backed Aberdeen to win the Scottish Prem with a 10pt start! He is one of the worst players I have seen in recent years, talk about going AWOL! I remember Griff saying he rated him and me saying that I begged to differ, well we all know who was right now don’t we!
Don’t worry Fil, we stopped at Lockerbie for a fry up, and he asked me to turn around and go back to Wigan. Apparently, he didn’t fancy tackling Nicola Sturgeon.
He doesn’t fancy tackling anyone!

I didn’t watch this so I don’t know on which side of the fence Le Tissier was sitting. Sky has effectively devalued this competition to the point where PL clubs regard it as an unwelcome intrusion into the business of avoiding the real possibility of financial oblivion. Le Tissier is old enough to understand the significance of the FA Cup so I hope he was suggesting that we would rightly have taken winning the cup over relegation. At this moment Newcastle fans would take staying in the PL above winning the cup. Their perception is that Newcastle is a PL club and that is where they should be. They’ve won the cup before so to win it again doesn’t carry the same significance as a team, from such a humble background, winning it for the first time.
So I pose another question. At the start of that season if you were offered winning the FA Cup but being relegated and losing the manager to an established PL club and you took that option then it is shameful hypocrisy to then criticise the subsequent actions of the manager that made it possible.
Take your tie off Samantha and take a day off! Put something casual on and go for a pint or a walk or something! :)
Ok JR stats in their simplest form……1 striker 55mins 0 goals .2 strikers 35 mins 3 goals.
Plus 55 minutes of turgid, boring football then 55 minutes of fast tempo, fast flowing, high pressing football.
I thought it was 8 mins added time not 20! :)
The same person who put the ‘Turd’ in Saturday!
I think some of you are posting on the wrong forum.
Football related, so OK here
I think you should offer another category called “Samaritans” for those who have difficulty moving on from past events.
Does that mean we are not allowed to talk about our FA cup glory a couple of years back? :( ;)
We don’t discuss this enough. Instead some prefer to talk about how badly a previous manager who actually won the thing is doing at another club.
It’s what you call keeping things topical :cheer:
Change the record. It’s worn and played out!
So as yours, the record will continue to play as long I or anyone else, wants to play it. If you don’t want to continue the discussions, butt out, its as easy as that. ;)
So it would appear but I’m not the one that keeps bringing up the Martinez topic and boring us all to death. As for butting out you need to be reminded occasionally how pathetic this stalking of a former manager really is, almost as pathetic as trying to argue that despite the town experiencing the worst flooding in decades over a holiday weekend with the emergency services flat out you think arrangements should have been made to ensure a football match takes place.
Or was it a wind-up!
Nice deflection Samantha, I saw what you did there, very clever! ;)
I thought you might chime in when wind-up was mentioned!
This topic needs to be deflected anyway.A Happy New Year to you and all my “friends” on here. :)
It’s all banter to me, always has been and always will be! Happy New Year to you ;)

I reckon Martinez will get potted at the end of the season if he doesn’t sort things out! The question is what would be next for him? Can’t see it being a move in the right direction as they say! Championship I reckon!
Nicholls made a howler against Leeds in the league and that seemed to be it for him after that! If I remember correctly he let the ball through his hands in a simple stop scenario!
