Well none of my predictions came to fruition. Bloody clueless. Whose going on saturday?
We’ll be ok. Clarke is on.
It’ll be fine. Reading scored 2 goals with their last f2 kicks of the ball …. I’m sure we can as well.
Agree as well….maybe Macmanaman on bench.Agree, but start Mcmannnnnman and you lot can decide who he replaces.
If Clarke has to come on, don’t let him. Bring Gibson on instead. Tell who ever is meant to come off for him to do ‘a Kepa’.
Hope this 3 obsession doesn’t mean we will finish 3 from the bottom. My Parkrun time on Saturday was 23:13
Definitely not, it means there will be at least 3 below us. Be more positive Travis.[/quote]
Great reply MrHorc. I’ve been wracking my brain to find a suitable reposte and you nailed it in one.
Mind you Sir Travis’s park run time is very admirable. Well done.
And we won on the chicken night, that wet wet night when you couldn’t see the pitch for the smoke from the flares. We got a corner, Alcaraz ran from right back position, faster than a Soyuz rocket and decided if no one else was going to nod it in – he would. He and the ball collided by good chance and a lot of perfect timing and in it went, putting a hole in the back of the net, such was its ferocity. The place went as wild as a night in Wembley when a corner was scored in similar circumstances and conditions.
The game ended, out we went to be met by a force of police who had recently been on a course of ‘crowd control by being a thug’. What thugs they were that night.
A night to remember at the theatre of football.
It’s looking good for tomorrow. Just as it was for last Saturday!!
Hi Martin. I think nerves affect us and some basic errors in losing possession or needless corners given away are killing us. Once we get that elusive away win we’ll be flying, albeit on a budget airline.Like me, Wigan never like to peak too soon. Occasionally we do, eventually!!
Ewood Park is definitely a jinx ground, but so was Villa at home so I think we’ll get something tomorrow. Tin hat on, I think we’ve turned a corner in the the last couple of games and actually looked like scoring. If could just defend one I’d be even more confident.Mr Edwards, I see you’ve posted only twice on this illustrious board. I’m thinking your astute observational comment about “turning a corner” refers to one of our guys who shall remain nameless that turned a safe goal kick into a corner in the last minute of a nightmare on saturday afternoon, that lead to a third goal.
It was a nightmare.
I never went to Reading.
I was asleep.
That game is yet to come ….. again. OH NO!! I need more beer. Wake up and still the memories of a nightmare haunt me.
Mr Edwards ….. tell me more about the corner.Jamie Jones will come off and on comes substitute Bangeminme and we’ll have no keeper. “it’s all in the game plan”.
And you know what ……. WE WILL WIN!!
Lose tomorrow the pressure cooker will be bubbling. My pressure cooker blew its weight off on Saturday. What more can happen.
Sounds like we had a go yesterday but poor finishing, slack defending, ridiculous substitutions and the ref let us down.Perfect summary.
Sack ’em all
very disappointed. I think we actually played well. Reading at times were playing like sunday afternoon park thugs. The ref had clearly got money on the result and he’ll be a happy bunny tonight. Powell had some sublime touches. At 2 – 2 with a 5 minutes to go we should have shut up shop, pulled the shutters down and been happy with a point. Reading weren’t even all that good. However, I’ve drunk too much beer, and I met another really nice latics fan, which has made my day!! Some things have been good!! Clarke didn’t have a great few minutes!! Morsy nd James MoM.
And we had some great shots on target; as usual they just didn’t go in.
Who is going to sack him, the invisible board. We are in the shite big time both on and off the field. It seems as though nobody but us fans actually give a toss. FFS Royle say summat.Simple solution, or as our friend MayDay says …. “Simples” …….. fans buy out!
In all the games I’ve watched Wigan …. I must say …. it is always exciting ….. last minute farting around, end of season escapology, ….. you name it … wigan can do it. The last relaxing game was Oxford 0 – 7.
