If we can sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid, Daniel James from United or Aaron Ramsay from Juve we would no doubt put the right balls into him!
What worries me about this comment is ……… I’d kinda expect that these guys have already got the right balls in them; I’m sure they don’t need anyone from WAFC to help them along??
(sorry …. so predictaball).
I’ll bring back fun, there is not enough grumpiness
I’ll make Edwards manager
I’ll issue flares to under 18 yr olds at the turnstiles
I’ll issue silk scarves to all those over 63.
and
I’ll ‘cook the books’ to ensure I get at least 1 point on ‘guess the gate’ before the end of the season. Relegation fills me with doom and gloom.I’d teach Beausajour how to do throw-ins.
I’d never let Ben Watson take another corner.
I don’t want Harry Kane because when we beat Oxford 7 – 0 I felt sorry for them
I’d do 2 weeks intensive training on effective corner taking.
I’d say sorry to MAF that he never did get a good service up front; he was let down and the club are really sorry about that.
I’d make Boyceeeeee ageless and get him back.
I’d install VAR and promote it as a good thing.
I’d install solar powered seat warmers in ES7 at the very least.
I’d try not to worry.Other than that nothing needs changing.
Horc …. I think I sent you an e mail, address kindly provided by Jason. Hope he gave me the right one!!
Horc. Thanks for this. How can I contact you off this page? I do know Garswoodlatic – does he know you? Can I give him my email address for you?
CALM match report. The Campaign Against Living Miserably
There was so much that was so good about the game against Swansea and only a little bit that wasn’t very good.
Despite the manky weather forecast it didn’t rain and the sun shone. Even though one of the worst 2 games I’ve watched at the DW was against Swansea (2013) this was one of the best this season. We scored a goal. Because we scored it means I don’t have to go silent again!! But Keiffer, we want MOORE! Hint hint. Thank you Keiffer.
What wasn’t very good – we lost like a dying swan in the last minute, we missed too many almost goals, BUT ABOVE ALL I HAD TO KEEP QUIET FOR 2 HOURS. If I could have issued a yellow card a few people would have got one for trying to provoke me into comment. BUT I RESISTED.
WHAT WAS AMAZING? THE INCREDIBLE GENEROSITY OF MY WIGAN FOOTBALL FRIENDS. THANK YOU SO MUCH. SINCERELY AND WITH HAND ON MY HEART THANK YOU. Is your generosity a hint for me to be quiet in the future?!
Through your generosity and my stupidity CALM the charity that is dedicated to help prevent male suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK is £380 better off. Truly I am quite overwhelmed. THANK YOU from me and thank you from all those YOU have helped.
(HORC – thank you very much for letting me use your page to promote my cause, and also doing your bit with the double pointer. It all helped).
GG – 9424.
Swansea CALM match report to follow shortly.
Thank you folks.
This is BONUS week.
I’ll be in the Wigan Central for a while before the game and also after. If in all the noise you can find me, make yourself known to me, give me the password and I’ll by you either a half or a pint depending on how many people turn up!!
And added to Horc’s bonus ….. what kind of BONUS weekend are we in for.
Right now I have £110 and I know that’ll go up.
I’m going for
11000 (plus ‘gift aid’).
Ooooo it’s just gone up to £160 by 3.00pm I could be a very poor person if my exuberance at home yesterday was anything to go by and all I was doing was reading the BBC text commentary.
Thanks everyone!
It’s funny how we all see the same thing so differently, innit, like?
On here and else where many people have said they don’t rate Jacobs and didn’t rate him yesterday.
Now you know what I’m gonna say. I thought he did ok yesterday. He battled hard, didn’t give up, chased back when he’d fuffed his lines and so on. I thought he did alright. Maybe not M o M, but put a good shift in, and wasn’t in any way a passenger on yesterday’s journey up the hill.
And why do people hate Naismith so much. (oh, and Jordi Gomez)?
Bloody rubbish NuneatonNuneaton out!
Everyone with no points out!
You just wait ’til the christmas transfer window. You high flying table toppers will soon be plummeting. False confidence. Look at Wigan; we were the only team to go from rock bottom to top of the table in the first 20 minutes of the season – and look at us now.
The late developers ….. will develop. Bloody rubbish; sack ’em all.
Keiffer was great, well ok. He would have been great if he’d scored that 1 on 1 right at the end. Too slow. Get him in the wednesday evening walking football team.
No, honestly …. I thought Keiffer was great. Held up play well, battled hard, his goal will come on Wednesday.
It’s so feckin infuriating how we can win so many points at home and get nowt away.Exacfekintly!! On wednesday we’re playing a team of drink drivers (I know, that’s not true, it’s harsh and a gross untrue generalisation) and guess what’ll happen. It’s going to be so frustrating after today, possibly the best game we’ve played at the DW since we beat ManCity! Bloody great game, good football, stunning team work ad 11 MoMs.
Blinkin great game. They’re all rubbish. Cook out Moyes in.
Over the past 6 years my very good ES7 friends and other WAFC fans have generously given to my own annual fund raiser. In the past they’ve supported Joseph’s goal x 2, Wafc Community Trust, L2A prostate Cancer, WAFC t shirts to Uganda and Zimbabwe. This yaer I’ve chosen to give my ES7 friends some calm, to help CALM. Read on.
SPONSORED SILENCE!!!!
CALM stands for the Campaign Against Living Miserably. https://www.thecalmzone.net/
Why is CALM my ES7 fund raiser this year?
The unexpected death by suicide of my 43 – year-old brother in law revealed to me the shock, devastation and endless ripples that it causes – his family, friends and colleagues suffered immeasurably both mentally and physically; it deeply affected us all & changed our lives for ever.
Over the years I have been on three trains which were involved in suicides – most recently a month ago. I’ve also had some ‘dark periods’ of my own.
So many are affected – family, friends, colleagues as well as those involved such as the train driver, or the person who finds the body, police, sometimes medical staff are involved – the list is endless.
It is an award-winning charity dedicated to help prevent male suicide; the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK.
Anyone can hit crisis point. CALM runs a free and confidential helpline and webchat – 7 hours a day, 7 days a week for anyone who needs to talk.
CALM also supports those bereaved by suicide, through the Support After Suicide Partnership (SASP).
CALM campaigns to spread awareness of suicide and its devastating impact.
CALM challenges male stereotypes and encourages positive behavioural change and help-seeking behaviour. Many men do not seek professional help for their despair.
For the Swansea game I am doing a sponsored silence, from entry to the ground to leaving at the end of the game. For once you’ll have peace and quiet! If Wigan don’t score in the game I will continue until WAFC score a goal, home or away!!!
RULES:
Exuberance will still be allowed as will the goal scoring hug, both hopefully silent.
Masking tape is prohibited.
Ref, assistant ref, lines people and 4th official will all be present.
VAR will not be used but arguing with the referee will be referred to Sepp Blatter, Paul Cook and SIR Ben Watson.
Noise will be punished with a yellow card (£10 payable by myself)
2 yellow cards, as we know = RED. If a red card is issued, I’ll add the same number of pounds as the number of minutes passed at the issuing of the red card. Red cards cannot be appealed.
A 3nd yellow card will be punished with another fine, this time £20.
A 2nd red card and I may double donations, depending on how much I have!
A sending off / out is impossible.
Only certain written communication is allowed – to be decided by me.
If you would like to sponsor me, I’d be delighted as will all those who will benefit from your kindness. Either cash or ‘JustGiving’:

T H A N K Y O U!!!
Nothing fishy about this12121
Mr Edwards, you’ve spent too long working as a manager. Even when you guess the number of people at a football match you have to refer to one to ones, and in the more serious disciplinary cases two to ones. The latter should never be allowed of course because everyone should be allowed a support person in defence or attack.
