27 November 2009 at 8:30 pm in reply to: Another Dave Whelan uneducated approach thread/topic! #14005Losing 9-1 to Spurs had fook all to do with Bruce, and everything to do with Whelan,
He raked in fortunes from selling off our best players and failed give that money over for team strengthening!
James Beattie, and Bob Huth go to Sjoke……..and who do we get?
Bloody Gomez ffs!………
Whelan should give Martinez the finances to do the job.
It would perhaps be worth praying for this to happen. That way the club would go to the wall quicker and we would hopefully be rid of berks like you.
i presume you said that tongue in cheek, please explain the positives to me after a 9-1 defeat,oh my god i have just realised you are actually one of martinez’s disciples,i know there are 12 of you but your the first one i have actually come across in the cyber flesh so to speak.
beware though griff one of your lot will soon aquire 30 pieces of silver and betray you all.Nope, and I can see beyond one 9-1 defeat when supporting my team.
If I take your Judas analogy to it’s logical conclusion, I take it that me – or one of 11 un-named others – will shortly kiss Bobby on the cheek (ooh-er) for 30 dabs and he will subsequently be crucified on Parbold Hill or some other notable local hillock?
Talking of notable local hillocks, have a good weekend. I’ve reasoned with you as much as I can for one week, with very little success.
you lot keep believing the spin on offer , and attend the regular sermons down at the dw citadel to reaffirm your worship of all things spanish, me i will take the more pragmatic route and watch without my rose tinted specs and prepare for the ensuing disaster. You are a happy soul, aren’t you? Can’t think why you even bother to watch Wigan.
Do you think we are all stupid and only you can see that things are not perfect at the moment?
Scratch that, you clearly do.Some of us just prefer to be a bit more positive.
You may think Bent is whale but he on form and Arsenal,Liverpool e.t.c don’t say that i will bet. He could have been here playing for us under Bruce if our chairman wasn’t such a liar.Or, because our chairman sensibly didn’t blow £10m (plus wages) that our club cannot support.
this whole debate started about kenny swain and questioning his ability…… and quickly degenerated into you slagging off Martinez. Which is your right, of course.
I’m not telling you whose opinion you should respect at all. Just chill out and respect mine.
Fix it yourself, go to ‘user control panel’ and alter your settings…. the site settings are fine.Nothing worse than trying to look clever…
One thing for certain he aint no defoe 8-)Oh, I REALLY hope that doesn’t come back to bite you, and us
Should make tomorrow very interesting, hopefully a good atmposphere for our lads to respond to.
I see the big surprise news this morning (not) is that Bent will play.
well they must be right then musnt they, but i wouldnt trust anything that any member of the most insular, self supporting, closed shop fantasy world that managers inhabit has to say about one of their bretheren .
you seem to be in the same camp though as you pick me up on everything i ever say it seems. What, self-supporting like Ferguson/Benitez, for example?
You might be right, you might be wrong but which one of that bunch is fannying about on an internet message board rather than working on a premier league training ground this morning?
Don’t flatter yourself thinking I specifically look out for your posts. It’s a messge board, designed for debate. I tend to respond to things I disagree with. Nowt wrong with that, just as there’s nowt wrong with your opinion. My mother loves that “Lark Rise To Candelford” thing, whereas I think it’s bobbins – I’m not likely to fall out with her over it though, nor you over this. Chill out.
27 November 2009 at 12:58 pm in reply to: Another Dave Whelan uneducated approach thread/topic! #13940I know 9-1 sounds bad but i honestly think we just had some bad luck and dodgy decisions made against us.You are officially my “glass half-full” role model for today :D
does anyone think we may be having this conversation in the future about
the spanish ‘style guru’ and his pretty play ?Not according to Ian Holloway, Roy Hodgson and Harry Redknapp, to mention just three who seem to hold the opposite view to you. ;)
Mr Griff, although my boys are well and truely grown I feel the need to purchase a copy if only to read about…………….…….”their hilarious and harrowing exploits at conception”
Sounds racey to me
:D
They say everyone has their 15 minutes, though mine was closer to 4 and half
If you do get it, I hope you enjoy it.
You might want to try Amazon.com instaead of lulu.com; the postage costs may be cheaper.
I hope it’s better than your ‘Playing to win’ review :roll:it took as long to write ;)
Priorities, my friend. Priorities :(
I watched the MOTD highlights for the first time yesterday. In the whole game (or what i saw which was obviously 10 goals worth at least) I didn’t see one midfielder or defender actually attempt to make a tackle (sorry, Boyce dived in once on Defoe to make a last-gasp clearance) so it is hardle surprising no-one was booked.
You can agree/disagree with Bobby’s tactics all you want, but I am not having that players were told not to make an attempt to tackle. We just looked 2 yards off the whole game from the first minute.
With SW junior number two due in February, I will invest in your published work Griff as, although not virgin parents, your training manual may serve as a handy refresher for the present Mrs SW and myself.Punctuation sucks anyway, innit?
Thank you, and I hope you enjoy it. There are plenty of Latics references in there, the period covered co-incides with the last promotion season. Not planned that way, pure co-incidence.
Book no. 2 is work-in-progress. Totally football orientated this time – I am bored with the kid now ;) – and I may introduce some snippets over the coming weeks to gauge reaction and decide whether it’s worth publishing.
Laters!
