Light at the end of the tunnel after that Shrewsbury debacle today but still a lot to play for up the Tics.
Let’s see what league we’re in first because if it’s League 1 I can see 20 odd players going/coming and championship minimum of 7 coming/going.
When they played us they were in shocking form with shit results, we were shit that day and they got a draw the fans have wanted him out for a while.
With his two game ban and now missing two games for International friendlies he can miss some more it’s 3 wins out of 3 with 1 to play.
I’m just bitter and if you think they were better fair enough but the FA CUP needed us in it but that’s a different thread.
But in the greater scheme of things, today’s defeat has some positives.It let’s our players totally focus on our league campaign, the bread and butter, and if we had a Wembley appearance to look ahead to, then there would be No doubt the players focus would be affected.
And without wanting to rock the boat, I will be glad to see the back of the gloryhunting day trippers. Call it small minded or whatever, I will be glad to get back to the 8000 or so regulars. The way they rose to walk out today at the second goal, it rather pissed me off. Bye bye and don’t come back anytime soon.The game? We lost fair and square. Had our chances first half, didn’t take them. Mark Hughes gave them a pep talk at half time and they showed their level in the second half. No complaints, best team won. Perhaps our squad limitations were shown, with us having cup tied players missing and chucking in Hunt who, no disrespect, is a bit part player. Would having a youngster like Callum Lang on the bench have been better? I was relieved that Burn wasn’t sent off, sensible reffing from Oliver. Just saw the replay, it was a pen, but also he made a genuine attempt to win the ball, and got close to it. Fair enough. Fair play to Mark Hughes walking on at end and shaking all our players hands. We gave them a game, he knew that.
Unlucky, lads. We move on now and concentrate fully on getting promoted. No more distractions, no room for slip ups. Good luck to Southampton at Wembley, although it’s looking like being a same old same old big boys final.

Performances of late haven’t been good and results worse, I’ve felt crap as soon as we dropped out of the top two and even with our games in hand I thought oh shit, but last night what a result and hats off to the boys and everyone involved and the fans who travelled I bet they went mental when the ball hit the net “Up the Tics”.
I’m working in Southampton this week funnily enough and what a turn around beginning of the week they thought shxt we’re out then they sacked their manager and they think they’ll win and it added another 1000 fans to their away following and now Hughes is their manager it will be an away day sell out and no problem beating us, their problem was the players had the talent but their manager had shot down their confidence and now Sparky has arrived they’ll be up for it.I think our run is coming to an end (that’s in the Final).
Seems their manager getting sacked has brought more fans into fancying this game and they are now fancying their chances for a result, they’ve 400 tickets left so with 9032 home end 4500 away end my total is looking good, funny how Wigan are not yapping on about tickets sold for this one.
