That Samuel Eto wouldn’t be a bad signing….
Failing that, Macheda from Man U, Chu Young Park from Arsenal, Marc Albrighton from Villa, Velios from Everton are the ones that spring out at me and could be within the realms of possibility.
I’d agree that Samuel Eto would be a very good addition to the squad, also you are right to advise counsel on our aspirations when it comes to the summer signings. We must keep “within the realms of possibility” and not expect Messi, Van Persi et al.

The cynic in me has always thought that that may have been the intention all the time.
I think that QPRs game plan will be completely different to the one they had last Friday. They have to attack more and that will leave them open, and with our style of play (in my opinion) that will allow our playmakers to get in behind them and have more scoring opportunities. They played a very defensive game here but we still managed to keep control of the game (save for a dodgy 10 min period after the break). So, No, I wouldn’t take penalties now because I believe we can beat them at theirs.

I think that a lot of people echo your sentiments about how enjoyable the championship has been this season. However, would we be able to retain and/or recruit the quality of player we currently have to maintain or current standing? With our main season over I’ve no problem with what Uwe did yesterday.
Yesterday’s result was irrelevant to Latics but the next 2 (hopefully 3) games are the most vital of our season. Should he have played his first choice side (whatever that may be!!) & risked having some of those 11 unavailable for the play offs through injury or suspension?
