Good cross section of views there, cheers for that – still believe we miss out on asking the future generation what they would like. I do like Vinces idea of getting a rollicking tune going before the game and the announcer firing up the crowd so that the players know we are behind them from the start. And Filmoss has a good idea as well in that they could do a rolling text thing around the advertising boards for people to text requests for half time music, the proceeds of which can go to a local charity (not too expensive to text though or it would fall flat on its feet). Thanks for input at least grandson will know that people here do think of them from time to time.

But, that’s beside the point. The point is, using this as reinforcement to the ‘FA Cup Champions argument is irrelevant.

Was I though? I merely pointed out that it was an “interesting term of phrase” from another observer.

Make of it as you wish.

Interesting term of phrase on the second line of the first paragraph.

It’s written by a Wiganer (who doesn’t seem to know where the fullstop key is)

So, apart from an Asian betting website and a poorly written piece from a fellow Wigan Athletic fan, do you have any more examples of where the winners of the FA Cup are called FA Cup Champions?
How is the world and its literary contributors looking from up there in that gilded ivory tower. I bet the author of that piece will now feel humble knowing it has had your expert critique. I didn’t expect the sheep mentality from you.

has anybody not thought that he is just big pals with Wilson Palacious and it’s not that far away from where he’s living (are they still on the same National Squad?)

I too did not know the fella, but concur that we now know that life is indeed very short. Thoughts and prayers with the family RIP.

Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord.

Stomping up and down and throwing your toys out of your pram,

Really? You really don’t know me at all do you? Thankfully.

Your intention in your reply was neither funny, nor was it intended to be but was intended to be intimidating and rude.

Let’s add arrogance to your qualities. How the fuck do you know what my intention was?

Tara fat lad? Wrong again, but it is yet another example of your childishness
Reckon we’ll beat Forest, it will be a close encounter but 3points coming to Wigan. Our away form is turning into a strong point. Now who would have thought that a month or so ago.

Think you might be right with that but what we must guard against is going into the game overly confident and taking our eye off the ball, so to speak. We did it at Brighton, but it wasn’t pretty. For me I’d take a good defensive performance whilst hitting them on the break with pace. A scrappy 1-0 to us would do and keep that confidence riding into the next set of games.

    Seriously, do one now.

I listened to people the other week who believed I was driving people away which, whislt I didntl agree with, made me stop taking this piss.

You fail to see the funny side of one reply to one of you posts and you haven’t stopped banging on about it for almost a day. It/you is/are boring.

I’ll say it again. Proper multis and wind-up merchants can be funny. I have fallen for them in the past and held my hands up. You’re not remotely amusing, whoever you are.

Stomping up and down and throwing your toys out of your pram, I’ll add childish as well. You see, it’s not nice being on the receiving end is it.

Your intention in your reply was neither funny, nor was it intended to be but was intended to be intimidating and rude. You said you listened to people, well you didn’t really because you still continued to take the piss. Just step back and look at this thread.

I asked a simple and honest question.
    Good banter ensued.
You post the “I’m right on this, stop the debate and lock the thread” post.
    You became aggressive and rude.
All I have done is reply to your sarcastic posts.
You lose the plot with “seriously do one now” post

You want to start listening to those people again. I’ve made my point. Tara fat lad.

And you really should learn to proof read your posts before making yourself look daft as well as wrong (there is an obvious ‘glitch’ in the system that puts the last lines of quotes outside of the box, but I never expected you to notice that.

How many more times do you need to be publicly wrong before the penny drops. You can print this off and show it to your boss to show that you are not infallible after all.

Proof-reading? Any spare time I might have to proof-read is spent deciphering the ridiculously abysmal spelling in your posts.

Print it off? Why on earth would I do that? You’re the one who confesses to sharing all your posts with your missus.

Thirty – he hasn’t got under my skin at all. And he’s not on a wind-up either. He’s just dull. Wind-up merchants are generally funny and clever. This is neither. Hopefully, he’ll soon be one of those that I have “driven away from the board”. Either way, you’re right – not worth bothering with.
You see, you really are a funny lad, who happens to suffer from short term memory loss as well. I only mentioned that she thought you were bullied as a lad you were the one suggesting that I read them to her, but that doesn’t fit with your wriggling out of being wrong again. As for my ridiculously abysmal spelling in my posts – well shall I just add gullible to daft as well as wrong.

Now just listen to yourself, was I not on a wind-up after all? How very droll of you. I think there are enough people on here who have seen how wrong you actually can be and no amount of back pedaling can get you out of it, as my grandson says – you retreat faster than an Italian tank in WW2.

Finding you very tedious now, as they say it takes a real man to admit he is wrong and as already proven that you have been wrong on more than a couple of occasions, I’m not expecting an admission any time soon.

Not worth bothering about? Bet you can’t resist one last little nibble.

you are absolutely right in every respect but it only took the arragance and self righteous comments from a daft lad on here to spoil it. i only asked a simple question and then after plenty of chat up he pops with his im right so everyone can f*** off attitude. your right though it is being spoiled by someone

You can’t be married, I swear you’re no older than 12.

Have you not even the faintest idea that you are being wound up?

OK, I’ll make it easier for you. I AM WINDING YOU UP! Stop falling for it.
you miss the point again lad for tis i that has been doing the winding ;)
Aye, OK then.
I’m right about you despising being wrong (again) though, aren’t I?
You’re right about very little, normally.
Now, how would you know? However, I am right though, and you positively detest being seen on the wrong side of a wind up and being wrong (again).
Loudmouthblue is right, you really need to learn how to use the “quote” function.

And if you’re trying to be a wind-up merchant, you’re not very good at it. You just keep repeating the same words.

I don’t detest many things – dull posters is one, though – and I certainly don’t detest being proved wrong. Well, I might. If it ever happens, I’ll let you know.
Honest to Christ I really despair with this board sometimes. Last May we created glorious history and enjoyed the greatest day in our lives, we achieved what the majority of football fans in this country can only dream about. The whole world watched and the name of Wigan Athletic became etched forever in the minds and memories of the global football fraternity. We earned ourselves another Wembley day out on the back of it as well as a European adventure. Whilst every other fan of every other club would have stood as one and basked in the clubs unbelievable triumph had they been in our shoes. What do we do? we have an almighty cyber punchup and fall out more than Celtic and Rangers fans. Thank Fook we won it. It could only happen here on CL. Keeps me amused tho if mud slinging was an Olympic event the gold medal would be won by someone on here   Could only be Latics fans.
