If Blackburn and Shrewsbury can lose again, we could have 3 games in hand on both of them, just a point behind Shrews and level with Rovers… March 4th will be huge if we can win…

Yes it was a midweek match and it was the first home game.

First league match was against Hereford Town…

            OK, here we go.

The DW Stadium hasn’t had an away allocation over 5,000 for about a decade. This mainly due to the safety aspect of having more than that on the concourses, the congestion and crushing that has occurred in the past dictates this decision. There are other reasons, like encroachment, broken seats etc, but the concourse crush is by far the main issue.

With regards to this particular game, as was eluded o earlier in this thread, the Marquee and other hospitality areas will have the other tickets that take it to the full safe allocation (which as mentioned is around 5,000)

Hope that is definitive enough for you, it’s all I’ve got.

Definitely priced right and would hope we can batter social media to try and get the Wigan Stands filled.

Cockney Latic will be running a co.petition for Champagne Lounge tickets from tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled

Yet again we won despite the referee.
Though at least he was consistently shite to both teams. And he got the big decision right.

Plymouth fans really were whingy during the game, nothing like those that we spoke to before the match. They were brilliant to chat to.

I said when we lost at Shrewsbury that they wold be lucky to make the play offs, and I will stick by it. Had the referee and his side kicks seen the incident above and given the penalty (and possibly a yellow card) the score line and table would look very different now.

I was sat right behind the lino that didn’t give that and was dumbstruck as to how he didn’t give it as he had clear sight of it and was looking right at it…. he just looked over at the ref and carried on.

But I am sure the ‘it’ll all work out over the season’ brigade will say it will all work out over the season.

I would rather they just make the right decisions.

I wasn’t at the game but I’m assuming from that photo that it was in the middle of the penalty area.
If so, there’s a reason why the linesman didn’t give it & that is that (in the pre match instructions) the referee will have told him not to come in on decisions in that area.
The standard instruction is for the linesman to only flag if the incident is on the near side of the area & it’s on the refs blind side. Outside of that you’re to keep your flag down unless there’s an appeal & the ref looks at you for assistance – the look you saw from the assistant to the ref was for that & if the ref hasn’t asked over the mic’s for his input then they won’t have put up their flag.

That might sound bizarre but it’s what’s expected & it’s designed to stop the chaos that would occur if you have the ref looking at incidents & deciding they’re no fouls and his assistants flagging & undermining.
From referees i know who run the line in the football league, the higher up you go the less input the refs want from their assistants.
What you’ve also go to remember at the professional level is that the officials are talking constantly & if at that point there was an appeal & the ref is saying “no foul”, there’s no way in a million years that the liner will put up their flag[/quote]
                          That’s alright then

Anyone sit close enough to the dugout to hear the diatribe Mr Cook comes out with during the course of a game.
If he could put as much energy into analysing how the game is progressing rather than ranting and raving with the fourth official and his opponents counterpart we might end up snatching a win or two against teams who come and shut up shop.We were poor last night,
It all looks rather childish from my seat and yet another frustrating result.

WOW, him shouting on side lines dictates results…. he really needs to get a grip and couple of wins quick to turn this season around doesn’t he
