I have met ‘Dave from Skem’ on numerous occasions (including in the WASC Bar) and the baseball bat incident does surprise, he has always come across really well when we’ve chatted (last time was at the Olympics I think).
I have never met LMB but have spoken to him a few times and again he seems a decent bloke who will do anything for anybody if he can.Must just be Forums that bring the worst out in people…. but even so, I won’t tolerate the abuse given out in a couple of the posts on this thread, let this be an end to those sorts of posts – there is no need.
The current Supporters Club is a bone-fide as the one at Springfield Park because it is the same one, if not more so as we have seal from the Club now.
Yes they were in a Sports Hall and made do with what they had, well done to their commitment in saving a piece of WAFC history.
I only get charged £3.30 a pint (maybe that is a member’s discount?) what is the price on the concourse?
With regards to the ‘why should I pay for membership, what extra benefits do I get’ – to me being part of one of the last things that still exists from Springfield Park would be enough but:
Entry to Supporters Bar
Entered into draw for hospitality tickets plus other prizes at every home game
Safe, lowest cost and Official travel on executive coaches to and from ALL 1st team away games
Annual Dinner
Fans Forums
Pair of season tickets given away every year
Free food/drink at certain games
A voice if an issue needs raising with the club
Preferential rates for hospitality/merchandiseThere are loads more, but as you were a member once you know these…. It has been a while since I have seen you in there, but as I am running around like a blue arsed fly most of the time, it is easy to miss people.

At least I get the honour of being typed in capital letters. :) :P
So do I. And so does my latest book, ARSED. Have I mentioned that I have a new book out?
I can confirm that I have met Dave and he is OK. I’ve never met LMB and I am more than OK with that too.
You have a new book out? And from where can we purchase said book?
Well, as you ask…
Stocking fillers
Looks a good web site that, clean, smart and easy to read…. well doneFA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
Done – though there are a lot of scores to be added when the system can be arsed (for those that forgot)

To be fair, it says if you are not a member then you can apply whilst buying your Dinner Ticket online.
Personally think this will be a good night and will appeal to the vast majority of the fans that watch Wigan Athletic today. Most of these players are old school, that used to go up Wigan after a game for a few beers.
I remember being in Jumping Jacks bogs hearing this bloke singing ‘Teale, Teale’ll tear you apart again….’ – it was only Gary Teale himself.
If you can make it (Bank Holiday next Day), get a ticket.

Beausejour………
Shite. Never beats his man….CAN’T beat his man. Probably because he’s so wide and would need a sat nav to find a way past an opponent. The fattest wide player I’ve ever seen.
We sold Moses who had the ability to beat people, and now rely on this rotund excuse of a player. We’ve nobody really capable of skinning an opponent and getting a ball over. The nearest we have is Stam, and he seems to have to bust a gut to do it.
But as for Beausejour……no, I’m not a fan. Not Premiership class.
Moses and Beausejour and not like for like. Beausejour is used as a wing-back, Moses as a forward.
You couldn’t swap Moses for Beausejour as Moses wouldn’t do his bit in defence.
I also see a couple of posts saying Miyachi should be given a run on the right: he’s not a wing-back either. From what I gather (as I’ve not see that much of him) he’s an attacking midfielder, so you’d be looking at dropping one of the front three to make space for him.
Plus the fact that he is injured..FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
West Brom away ! 3 on the trot anyone ? I think we can.

Always loved my ham and cheese sandwich lathered in salad cream, but many moons ago when I worked at Triplex in St Helens, I used to add a kitkat, it made the night turns that little bit better….yum

I’d be a hypocrit to be against it because I have worked a lot in other countries and think it’s great that anybody can go anywhere in Europe to work for a while.
Time for the really controversial comment that a few people are really going to hate, but if you have knuckled down and become really good in your field of work, you wouldn’t worry about anybody else taking your job, be it English, Polish, robots or them little green buggers from Mars. The country as a whole has been far too lapse in recent years thinking that we will be prosperous because we have been for centuries. Unfortunately, times are changing and other countries are fast catching up to us and overtaking us. Unfortunately, it’s often far too easy to blame everybody else but ourselves when we don’t get what we want from life.
Let the abuse begin…
I’m in total agreement with you.
My argument on the last thread was with people presuming Eastern European are coming to the UK to sponge off society, when in actual fact a vast majority of them are coming here to work, and work bloody on the whole, to earn money.
You can’t compete with someone who wants to work bloody goodpost
