Judas or Legend?
Well if RM isn’t a legend then this club has never had one. Question is simple which other Latics manager has ever emulated his achievements?
PJ is the only one who can even be put in the same category.
Yes RM is deffo a legend and will always be one for the FA Cup success. :cheer:
As for his EPL exploits he is the only manager to get us relegated from the top tier of English football. Yes he managed to beat all of the top four teams in his 4 year tenure, but also got us some record tonkings on the way, including an 8 or nine match losing run. Not sure if that makes him a legend or not. :(

What a journey!I like to sit through a match so that the little kids who may be sitting behind me can see the fekin game!
Hence the request for designated standing areas ! :)
Fair point Phil, but if there was standing areas it still won’t stop some fans standing in the seated area, every time the ball goes anywhere near the oppositions 18 yard box. :(

What a journey! To add to WGTB’s tally…I can’t understand why the term Judas is banded about regarding Martinez.
He never promised to stay with Wigan forever, and it was generally accepted that he’d be moving on to bigger and better things in the near future. Also it’s not as if he moved to Bolton or a recognised close rival of ours.
So why is he Judas?
All he did was move to a bigger club because the right opportunity came up. By all accounts, it was a deal brokered well before we were relegated so it’s not exactly a case of him jumping ship because we’d gone down. Stay up or go down, he was leaving anyway.
Plus, most of those calling him Judas had wanted him replaced for the past three seasons anyway.
So, go on someone, explain why the term Judas is used?
I’ve just looked it up and the definition of a Judas is “someone who brokers a deal with another club when the club who is still paying his wages are fighting relegation”

What a journey!Excellent Vince :) :)
Thanks mate. Makes you laugh all these crappy premier league sides sacking their managers when they hover near the drop zone as if it’s the end of the world leaving the greed is good league.
Sunday’s game was a corker and very heartening to know that only the 19,200 saw it in its entirety and LIVE !
What football is all about !
Nothing wrong in watching football streams and you can’t compare a local derby at home, to a league match few hundred miles away.
I’m fortunate I have no mortgage, no debt and really don’t want for much, I can watch Wigan home and away without worrying about the cost, even the missus is glad to get rid of me for the day or 3 days for our European exploits.
However, I appreciate that some fans with young families may have other priorities, particular coming up to Christmas. So yes it is great to watch it “live” as you say, but spare a thought for those who would love to go but for various reasons can’t. This thread was about information about anywhere showing Saturdays game and you and other posters have been of no help whatsoever.
I really hope Simmpool finds a link so that me, vincehill and thirty can wave to him from the South Stand at the Madejeski Stadium. B)From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Anyone know if the game is on in any pubs
We are in the championship now, there is no chance of finding a live stream for a Saturday match 3pm KO.
The only time you will get one is if and when we are live on SS or BT. :(
I must have imagined watching around 4 such games on foreign TV then this season!
Great stuff Roy show us the link….

What a journey! Will your tickets be valid for the rearranged game?Yip and thanx for asking.
Information for ticket holders of the abandoned game at Hillsborough
Following the abandonment of our Championship game against Sheffield Wednesday on Wednesday night at Hillsborough, Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed details of their policy ahead of the fixture’s re-arrangement.
Tickets for the original game will be valid for the rearranged game.
Alternatively, supporters who purchased for this game alone can claim a refund if so required.
All refunds must be claimed before the re-arranged fixture, which will be announced in due course following consultation with all parties concerned. Refunds can be claimed from 23 December.
Sheffield Wednesday have pointed out that their Customer Charter states that abandoned games may incur a 50 per cent ticket charge for the re-arranged fixture – but as a gesture of goodwill have waived the clause on this occasion.
Additional ticket will be on sale for this fixture with details to be published in due course at some point after the game has been rearranged.

What a journey!I’d have to see them against one another on a track but I would say yes he is faster than Macca! However, Callum is probably tricker/more skillful – who knows?I think you may have clicked on to something there. Otherwise, let’s go in for Hussein Bolt and a few other speedsters and win this league in a canter. :woohoo:
Personally, I’ve seen this lad play about half a dozen development squad games, about 5 or 6 sub cameos for the first team and he has looked tosh. I’m not saying that given a run he might do a job, however his impact when playing for us, doesn’t seem as good as the impact he has made with the loan clubs that have signed him. Bear in mind at Blackpool he came on from the bench in the main, to score a few goals.
I also think we may be a slightly better team than Rotherham, who he seems to be doing ok for at the moment. I’ve got a feeling that UR may actually let him go if we can get a few hundred thousand for him. From Matlock to ManU
