Not sure you need all that George for a like for like sub. The players still on the pitch do exactly what they have been doing.

JR is right though, but the players have to take some responsibility also for the loss in concentration that occurs. We can’t keep the same 11 out there just to make sure we don’t concede

A draw would have been a good result today tbh
The players coming off look disappointed which indicates to me they are feeling ok. As I said Garner was being is nuiscance self and causing a few problems.

He plays for a point, he should have changed it.

He makes attacking subs, he shouldn’t have changed it.

The point is we lose a goal EVERY time he makes changes. Was neither attacking or playing for point change, like for like both players. Garner was doing Ok, Lowe was pants. This is just about the worst performance of the season.

We are not talking of moving all the u23’s to the first team we are talking of 3 or 4. Of course EPL U23 teams are getting beat by league one and league two teams there will be players in those teams who haven’t developed yet and maybe 16/17 year olds.
We are losing most weekends, continue with the same players, formation, tactics etc we will be relegated without a shadow of doubt.
Like what happened with Baines, you don’t give um a chance you will never know whether they will take the big step up or not. He got hammered on his debut but it didn’t knock him back he stuck to the task and the rest is history.
I can’t understand why Cook is hung up on age and computer stats. Some of the Liverpool U23 players last night are on more money than our first teamers. 5-6 where in the team that beat Everton in the cup the other week.
Is that not a decent benchmark to see how they are developing?.

As per the U18’s very well drilled, great work ethic and most of them played on Wednesday.
I think Crankshaw has a great future, the lad Miller for Liverpool looks something special if he knuckles down and tidies up his last ball and finishing.

Winning 2-0 at ht, makes it better as its on LFC TV. Impressed with big lad Obi and Olly Crankshaw.

The truth is he was injured so contributing fek aw to our plight. Who knows how much longer he will be out for. I very much doubt he would hoist Niasmith out the team, Kipre looks has though he’s been reborn, so can’t get too worked up over this. I also don’t feel any need to have a go at our club etc over his “decision” to leave, for the very reasons I have said above. How embarrassing it must be for him to be not wanted by his parent club and then to be a potential spectator at his loan club.

I suspect people are reading that NewsNow shyte, its run by agents and speculative journalists.

Unless its on the official club websites, Sky Sports or BBC Sports formal websites I wouldn’t read much into any other rumour mongering sites.

We are all wrong its been confirmed that Blackburn have recalled him back due to injuries to their defenders.

You are all jumping to the wrong conclusion, he wants to force a permanent move whether it be us or somewhere else.
He now cannot be loaned to any other club so its forcing Blackburn to sell or put up with him. Clever move by the lad.

Those two should be in the first team squad every week and given some decent game time not 10 mins here and there. I would also include a couple more, Joseph being one of them. Roberts has been great for us saying how old he is, top pro with plenty of respect from everyone. However, I don’t feel that he can change a game both offensively or defensively. Some of these youngsters could microwave their development being part of the first team set up. Leyton Baines wouldn’t have got his chance if sick note Macmillan had not “twisted his sock” has PJ once said.
Gelhardt hit that rasper over the bar within minutes of coming on against Bristol. I didn’t see any other raspers from the starting 11 all 90 mins. That would be enough for me if I was Cook. When the ironic cheer went up when Joe got ready to come on satdy, it was met with “you’ll have to do well now” from Cook. Being profoundly deaf I could lip read him, what a great confidence booster that must have been for the lad.
Cook needs to put age to one side and stop being obstinate. If the rumours are right regarding Henderson from Rochdale and Rooney from Salford being of interest then we might as well scrap that academy.
