Does anyone actually expect us to win tomorrow?
Fancied us more against Stoke.
Predict 1-3 or 2-3 these men are on a roll, they’ll up for it more than us from the off with this new fella in charge. Fergie was impressed and to be honest they should have had : 5 against verton.p
Get on em at 5/2 and if they win your in the money, if they lose it’s good for Latics. CAN’T LOSE STELLA BET.
And if its a draw?? :woohoo:

What a journey!I remember we played in all red at the McCalpine Stadium as it was know then. I went on that silly double decker bus only to jump off and run half a mile to the ground due to the traffic. :woohoo:
Just as we ran on to the car park the bleedin bus came trundling past us.
Would love it to be Hudders, but feel they may have blown their chance by failing to make home advantage count. :(

What a journey! We certainly don’t do things the easy way do we…
Glad we are through, but it doesn’t matter who we play we just can’t create chances. I can count on one hand how many attempts on goal we had today… Sh !te considering Macc are a non league side!!Norwich went out to Luton today who are also a non league side. Go on the canaries board and see what they are saying.
The display today was shall we say “adequate”, the pluses being young Jordan Mustoe, whose first half display was outstanding , Golobart again apart from a few hiccups looked assured and was actually marshalling the defence quite well. I’ll reserve my judgement on Robles till after I’ve seen him in a few EPL games, but is kicking and general distribution was very good. The signing of a new contract by Macmanaman as certainly geed him up as he put in a decent shift on the left wing and skinned Jackson on numerous occasions and he is supposed to be one of their key players.
The negatives were once again Stam, the lad just cant defend and it hurts me to say it but Gomez, the lad just didn’t seem interested in the second half and gave the ball away at least 10 or 12 times.
Having said all that look, this is only the second time wave reached the 5th round of the FA cup in our history, so I think its time to celebrate not find faults in our display.
For those who had a pint in the Railway, £2.10 for a pint of bitter and £1.00 for a pie, fekin magic!
Don’t forget to watch the draw tomoz gang, cos we are in it and a lot of clubs arn’t. goodpost
Not really interested in what Norwich are saying. Do you really think that performance was “adequate”?
As for individual performances agree with what you say above but there is only one player who performed for the 90mins. Figueroa impressed a lot, stood out from the rest for me.
As for pubs, heard some Wigan fans saying the booze in the Station was rubbish? We also went in the Lion and no complaints.PS, Gary Caldwell was stood next to us on the terraces with his sons (& brother I think). Did anybody else see him.
Yes Jimmy I really did think the performance was adequate and that’s why we were in the hat today.
The FA cup is all about winning and about the David and Goliath clashes.
We overcame a gritty and revved up Macclesfield team and did it with some novices representing Wigan Athletic for the first time. I was very impressed with Mustoe and I’m sure Bob was too. Forget the likes of Figueroa, yesterday wasn’t about those players it was about the fringe players and some did themselves proud others didn’t. I would include Stam and Gomez in that “others didn’t” category and they must be getting more fringey than deffos. As for Norwich being beaten by Luton, just ask yerself who would you sooner have been in the hat out of those two teams today, then come back and say that you wernt interested in that result. The same can be said for Liverpool, Tottenham and maybe Chelsea with a bit of luck. B) The more premier league teams that bomb out the better our chance of progressing.
If we manage to go all the way to Wembley nobody will mention our performance at Macclesfield believe me.PS The ale in the Railway was bang on, I’m not normally a big boozer before games, but the John Smiths went down very well indeed.

What a journey!Their whole season has disintegrated in a couple of weeks. Out of two cups and fighting relegation.
Lets hope their fans turn on the manager, board and players. Could be a good thing for us, Villa being one of the odds on favourites to stay up.
And here’e me thinking you didn’t condone that sort of behaviour !
A Latics Lightsider and a Villa Darksider.
;) Has your lad not booked back in fot railway ? ( Not a typo, I did mean fot ! ) :)
Don’t think so, they seem to be doing more corporate stuff weddings birthdays etc. They are doing a 50th birthday at a club in salmsbury tonight. He went to set up last night and had to turn back cos of snow. :woohoo:From Matlock to ManU
