Seems like Steve Keane’s missus is a bit of a slapper. I overhead her talking to one of her mates in a night club and she whispered any cockerldoo. :woohoo:

Wales wasn’t a lucky place for Jonesy to live in wasn’t it?. A large tree in his garden got struck with lightening, toppled over and caved his Ruthin, didn’t it?.

How ironic that Liverpool fans didn’t want that “no mark” from Wigan as their manger, yet are OK to have the manager who took the credit for that “no marks” hard work.

Short memories some folk ;)

I’m talking of last season not the previous 3. :P

Jordie Gomez contributed more than Hugo last season. Goals scored, games played, tackles made, passes played et. etc etc. B)

I think the weather in Wales may put Jonesy off. He once got Snowdon and didn’t turn up for training for 2 wik. :woohoo:

I’ve always thought Danny Guthrie was a decent player.

You beat me to it HB. he must only be in his mid twenties now and looked a great prospect at Liverpool.

I always thought he was a quicker, more workman like Jason Koumas. :woohoo:

Whatever part he plays, if any next season, he will probably contribute a bit more than Hugo did this season. ;)

Listening to Garry Neville on SSN today, I think he was trying to put it mildly where England are in the pecking order in European and World football.
He said that the England players during his time, went into tournaments thinking they were billy big-balls, but were nowhere near the standard of players from Spain, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Holland etc.
Love him or hate him as a player, he is a bloody good analyst and will make a cracking manager in the future.
Giving him a role in the current England set up is the best decision made by the FA in yonks. goodpost

I sit quite close to the dug outs and have often heard Martinez and Jones screaming at Momo to get back or pick up a player.

To be honest I’m surprised you could hear em over me yelling at the lazy fecker ;)
Just been told told that she is running the Opympic flame to Wigan today….

Yes I can confirm that she is running the torch up Walgate to Wigan town centre. I got told that she was looking for somewhere local to stay, so I rang her and offered to put her up for the night. The missus is away on a training course so it was the least I could do for that poor girl with nowhere to stay.

Things didn’t turn out as good as I thought, she snores like a pig and hi jacks your pillow during the night leaving you flat headed.

No – they are actually pies.

By the way, be careful – the Polish word “pies” means “dog”.

My wife’s grandfather was horrified when they arrived in England and saw “Hot Pies” on sale

I take it they weren’t keen on having a large sausage on a role with mustard and ketchy on top then? B)

That’s one thing I like about DW he says what he thinks and doesn’t hold any secrets.

All through this Liverpool / villa thing, DW kept updating the media of the latest situation, although many fans thought he was almost trying to throw bobby out on his ears in order to get compensation. LOB!
The man is a marketing genius and whilst sometimes he has us cringing with outbursts on controversial national football matters, he speaks from his heart.

You hear fans of many other football clubs wishing they had a chairman has honest and open as DW.
I still think and have always thought, that we have a gem of a chairman and a gem of a manager. goodpost

I’ve always been a Momo fan. His talent should make him be a top, top player, but his fitness levels [which have improved] and his positional play is still, a cause for concern.
He came back from the African Cup of Nations like a lame duck and consequently lost his place in the team and rightly so.

I sit quite close to the dug outs and have often heard Martinez and Jones screaming at Momo to get back or pick up a player.

I liken him to a young Patrick Viera, he has the ability to rob players of the ball with his long gangly legs and can beat players when in tight situations. He his pacey with the ball at his feet and as you Mackems have witnessed first hand, he has a scorcher of a shot in his locker.

I was devastated to hear that he wasn’t signing another contract with us as I feel he will be a top quality player if he gets all his game together. However, I must admit, our team looked a different class without him in, with the two Maccas head and shoulders above him with respect to positional play and keeping the opposition midfield quite.

Overall summary, in my view, you may just get the greatest free signing in Premier league history. It will be down to how he’s managed [doesn’t speak any English] and how much the weaker points in his game are improved.

Good luck to him wherever he ends up, a good footballer, with the potential to be great. Adios Momo!

So if you want to trawl the websites like News-now and other media rumour mungering sites, then that’s up to you, but don’t come back on here moaning about this situation being like a circus.

What’s wrong in expressing frustration with what clearly is a ridiculously hyped and speculated topic JR? I’ve never witnessed anything like this, so surely this site is one place you would come and discuss (sorry “moan” about) it.
And how different is it to viewing and commenting on betting odds, which are clearly built on the same lies and rumours that we’re reading??
If you think bookies work out their odds on rumours, then there should be 100’s of them floating down the Leeds and Liverpool canal face down being pecked by a cluster of stittle backs. :woohoo:

The facts they based their odds on in this instance was the chairman of Wigan athletic coming out publicly that Liverpool had made an offer to Martinez. How far away from a rumour is that then?

PS There is a horse running at Chepstow’s 2:30pm race tomorrow called Bermondsay Bob. Bookies are offering 10/1 for it as its rumoured to be a donkey following several out of frame finishes already this year.
Actually the horse is none other than Kuato Star that has been painted white to hide its identity. Get all your readies on it. B) :P
