Still out of bottom 3 and above noblot to boot. My clapper is still quite happy thank you very much.

As for gutless performance, wouldn’t exactly say that, we had our moments and probably deserved a draw. That’s even with a makeshift back four.

Left back not played first team football for yonks and little or no EPL experience. Left back playing CH, CH playing right back.
3 goals for Franco and he is improving every game.

Once again if you are on a wind up, what a gutless effort by you and if not on a wind up please STFU!

i wasnt including any of the players in my remarks it was the clown in the technical area with folded arms and brown shoes who my “inept/gutless” comment is aimed at.[/quote]

So he was the one doing the poor defending and hitting the bar with that chip late on.
He can only play with the cards he has in his hands and at the moment the lack of fit defenders is hitting us hard.

Sorry but that might be a bit hard for you to see from behind your Martinez out banner. :snooty:

Lets have a poll on here to see who the CL posters think is the biggest clueless no mark and I will put my mortgage on you finishing top by a country mile.
Not sure how old you are but you come across as being a childish giddy kid in their late teens.

Bet your already working on your 2011-2012 Wigan Athletic relegation poem / song.

Why don’t you do us and more importantly yourself a favour and fook orf from this board.

PS great win for wires yesterday and come on you Saints!! :happy-partydance:

the chap on radio merseyside yesterday:-
“everytime wigan get the ball they just stop playing and stifle the game”

barry horne on sky football first:-
“wigan are so slow even pedestrian they are just going nowhere”

MOD commentator after everton went 2-1 up:-
“this is the first time in the previous 85 minutes that wigan have shown some urgency and i cant help thinking that has been their undoing today”

The only thing that bothers me slightly is that I feel Victor is more of a threat down the left than the right. Although he had a couple of decent runs Saturday, I like him running down the left and cutting in on his right foot, a bit like Zog but opposite wings. :?

Jewell will turn things around at Ipswich, but as someone has previously stated it will take time.
Perhaps after the next window in January, he may have the makings of his own team and the players will get used to his style of play / management.

The fact that he now has his mate CH at the side of him will help rekindle the old days of challenging and winning promotion to the big league.

His biggest downfall for me is no plan B. If things are not working out, he struggles to find the answer and often makes what the average supporters feels are stupid decisions. It’s a bit like he’s resigned to the fact he will lose the game but will accept damage limitation. i.e. accepting a 2 or 3 nil defeat rather than going for it and getting stuffed 4 or 5.

What you have in PJ is a fully committed and honest bloke who will do all he can to help you tractor boys reach the elite league. Don’t be too hasty to judge him but I realise all us supporters want immediate success. My money is on PJ to get Ipswich in the play offs this season, stick with it and enjoy the ride.

A bit early yet, lets see how these big names enjoy being “rested” as the season progresses when they want to play every week.

That Dzeko geezer scores 4 goals against Spurs comes off the field thinking he’s the dogs bollux, trains hard all week and then is told, sorry mate your not in my starting 11 this week. :scared-eek:

I’ve said it in another thread, I bet that citeh dressing room is lost before crimbo, then lets see how Mr Mancini’s team fair on the pitch. They do look more than bleedin good, but 4 games doesn’t make a season.

taking the positives out of yesterdays mauling, it was only 3 when it cudda been 13.

we got them outta the way early

we will probably only play 1 more team better or as good as them this season.

                    erm..struggling now

We did actually create 2 or 3 very scorable chances, plus James ‘thur finally got the start he deserved.

Watching stuff like that disproves the theory that many people have including players, supporters etc that “things were a lot better back in them days”.

I remember watching a local Wigan Ammy league match a few years ago and said exactly the same thing myself.
Having played for Aspull against the likes of the good teams that were around then, Ince Parish, Wigan Youth, Bethel etc I thought what I was watching now was a load of rubbish compared to the late 70’s and 80’s ………………………………but was it?

I’ll go for Norwich, Swansea and Blackburn for the Copa El Dropeeno. :violin:

I also feel that Fulham may struggle this season. They have quite a few players that have been so influential for them over the past few years, but are getting on a bit e.g. Danny Murphy.

I think the title will go to the red side of Manchester with Chelsea a close second. City will once again have too many superstars who will be bench warming for long parts of the season and the dressing room will be lost before the new year. :scared-eek:

Arsenal are in a transitional period and Spurs and Liverpool are Europa league contenders at best. :shifty:
