And Macmanaman???….Carrying a knock Grigg gets a cameo role,so was there any point in signing “turn a game” Macca.??..Created zilch for 70 mins so why not try to make something happen instead of seeing a draw out…..nearly!!

I’ve just checked this thread and you have not made one comment about the team selection until AFTER the final whistle. You had from 2pm to moan about Garner in for Grigg, Macca on the bench blah blah blah. You also didn’t moan about the team selection and changes made during the Bristol and Hull games. Give your head a big wobble man and get into reality…. we will not win or play superbly in every game no matter what team Cooky plays. It has nothing to do with the quality of strikers the fact that a player makes a rash challenge in the box to give a soft penalty away.
I will wait with bated breath to see what your comments are on Tuesday before and after the game win or lose.

Cook doing a good job but please don’t praise his tactics every game when they were shit today.

Who is praising his tactics? All I was pointing out was the fact that you was indicating that Cook made some bad changes when in fact before any changes had been made, for 68 mins we hadn’t had one shot on target. Now come on; who got the winner against Bristol City after being pushed up front? Talk about fickle fans and over reaction.
By the way Will Grigg is carrying a knock and we have another game on Tuesday. As for Garner, he took his chance last Friday and deserved his place today.

P””” poor selection……particularly playing last 20 mins with no recognised striker.Got away with it at home ….when in front…..Stoke apart away form not good. Not too much damage done as league table still reads well. Everyone waxed lyrical about his great tactics after last home game but with Grigg…Macmanaman on bench chooses Connolly….then Gibson …puts Grigg on agter their goal 88 mins….desperation.Hang on to what you got…..bombed.

If you are going to moan about selections at least get it right. Darren Gibson came on nearly 10 mins before Connoley and he moved Powell up front.Connoley came on for Lee Evans, an attack minded midfielder for a play maker.
FFS if we had hung on for a draw,we would all have been happy. No matter what the changes Cook made we didn’t have one shot on target. For the last 20 mins we had Powell, Windass and Jacobs on the field are you saying there are no goals in those 3?

Garner was superb tonight, not the tallest of players but held his corner.
That Reece James will be playing for England before he’s 21, unbelievable talent.

Same from me, enjoyed the game with both teams going for the win. The first 20 mins was theirs, the next 25 ours. The first 25 mins of the second half was ours the last 20 was theirs. Plenty of action, 3 goals, quite a few missed chances, 5-6 bookings, one of the best saves I’ve seen in ages by their keeper from Crackers late on. Enough in the game for me to not call it shyte.

No thought the team and formation was good enough to win today. There are not many games we’ve deserved to lose this season including villa away.
I’m happy with our performances but not happy with our points total. The form team league table had us on top and rightly so.

Its funny how we all see the game differently, thought they got out the blocks quicker and could have scored early on but didn’t. The game got scrappy and we coped well. The first half was one that both teams would have been happy going in level. They huffed and puffed without doing much we looked the better team in possession and the sending off finished the game. I saw nothing in Brentford that I didn’t see in Shelf Wed or Notts Forrest. Things didn’t go our way and we got nowt. If anyone wants to bet me that Brentford will finish above us I’ll take it. Powell had a poor game and still looked the best player on display.

Great debate stu, who was the screaming banshee spoiling the goal celebration?
I bet people sat within 50 yards of that lot couldn’t wait for Tom Hark to blast out.
I vote to bring back rattles and the synchronized tossing of flat caps in the air, let’s go the whole hog.

Spot on sammy, although i think we still played it when nzogbia scored against arsenal and west ham but i shall stand corrected

This is getting silly, how can you tell someone they are spot on then immediately correct them for two things they got wrong?

Because your reasoning was spot on silly even if your examples werent
But his reasoning was based on the fact that the goal celebrations for Zoggs goals would have been spoiled with music, when in fact music was played. So was both celebrations ruined by the music?, that should have been the argument. He got it totally wrong and so have you. Still about 50/50 on the poll by the way so no matter how loud the anti music lot shout, the case for music or no music is inconclusive.

Do you think playing music would have enhanced the goal celebrations when N’Zogbia crashed in that last gasp winner off the post against Arsenal or when he scored another in our comeback against West Ham to relegate them and allow us the chance to secure our Premiership place against Stoke, or perhaps when Maloney smacked in that goal against United and finally, and most notably, Will Grigg’s finish against City when the roof almost lifted off?
No need for silly music there to prompt us and allow middle aged men to make a prat of themselves by gyrating along to it.

“Ah, but the kids love it”.
Do you think that in years to come when those kids are asked what turned them into lifelong Latics fans they are going to recall it’s because music was played when a goal was scored or that it was the unforgettable experience provided by the likes of N’Zogbia, Maloney, Grigg and Ben Watson?

Put like that Sammy, debate over, no music after goals, it is definitely cased closed.
Sorry boys but case not closed. The poll actually is not conclusive and is around the 50% mark. Unless you think the case is closed cos your vote is final?. If that’s the case then please pull the pole admin.
