What a journey!and prey tell me what ch 408 is?
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!first 5 positives;
Winning 2-1
Josh Laurent’s debut goal and good all round performance
Donervan Daniels,finally getting some game time and looking quite solid
The performances of Colclough, Merrie, Thomas, Gilby and James
The state of the pitch [although why did they have to water the fooker]Now 5 Negatives;
The poor defending of set pieces [all night]
Giving away a scrappy goal
The queues at the tuck shop despite a gate of only 3,391 albeit all of um being in one stand.I can only think of 3. :cheer:
Shocking from the Latics (un)faithful. Glad we don’t get crowds like that on at the rugby. Not even in the lean years where it actually went up circa 2005.[/quote]
Nothing new here then, Latics win a game, chubsters talk crowds.
I see Bury FC have made the main event channel on sky sports, can’t find a super 8’s anywhere. There’s cricket, tennis, tiddlewinks and marbles being shown but no blobbies. :lol:

What a journey!It was a million miles away from 4-4-2 tonight.Yip until Luke Burke got cramp and played the nuiscance dummy forward role. :huh:

What a journey!Just three former players on the score sheet tonight in the EFL Cup, Hiwula (Fleetwood), Coulthirst (Barnet) and Dicko (Wolves).Waaaooow! Amazing how that came in your mind and not Josh Laurent scores his first goal for the tics??? :ohmy:

What a journey!Looked like 4-4-2 till sending off. Flat back 4. Elder, Burn,Dunkley and Byrne.
4 in midfield, Massy on right, Evans / Morsy in middle and Jacobs roaming.
Toney and Powell up front.From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!The big difference I saw with Toney was his arial ability. The big centre half was beaten several times by Toney but hardly any by Grigg. The link up play with Powell, Massey, Jacobs and Toney was the best I’ve seen at the club for years.

What a journey!Strange to give Power and Bogle the same number if we believe they are off.They are off if someone comes in for them at the right price.

What a journey!The lad is now officially on loan to the end of the season. :cheer:

What a journey!If we do get this deal over the line, I think in terms of comparison with Bogle, it is an exiting deal. Scored a few at Scunny and watching some of his goals has a great leap. On 2-3 of them he actually out jumped the keeper to the ball.
The other exciting deal is the left back from Leicester, a fantastic signing for the league we are in.
Don’t start getting above your stations boys, we are a league one club and the cloth should and will be cut accordingly. If we do get back into the championship at the first attempt again, we can take stock and look to push on. Sharpy will have learned his lesson from last season in terms of the extra quality needed to be competitive in the second tier.
Paul Cook seems to be a shrewd manager who is not frightened of taking drastic action when needed. So the school report to date in my opinion looks very encouraging.I know some posters have been critical of Cook’s pre-season, can’t remember who said it but they moaned because we weren’t beating the likes of Southport, Notts County and Grimsby by 5 or 6. Irrespective of their opponents last night, they scored 14, what a great way to prepare for the opening game. :cheer:

What a journey!I am optimistic but we havnt seen much to make us brim with enthusiasm yet Garswood.I know things might change yet but so far so good for me. Cooky is sorting out those who want to stay and fight from those who think they are world beaters cos they’ve done a season in the second flight. If we can get to the end of the transfer window without losing more than one or two of our better players we will be good to push for at least a top 6 finish.

What a journey!I’ve had a,season ticket since 1982 but this year is the first time I’ve been 50/50 whether me and my lads renewed them.The more and more the board get it so wrong on every level the more I can’t be arsed. Last season was as bad as it gets so I thought “Well, it can’t get any worse” and so far it seems more and more likely that all the contracted players are to leave or set to leave only to be replaced with cheaper easy to get rid of loan players. I’m beginning to wonder if I’ve made the right choice by renewing.
One more season like last and that’s it for me, I’ll do as the majority I’ve spoken to have done, don’t renew and pick your games.
Good riddance then if you do chuck the towel in, the club does not need supporters like you. I guess your user name says it all really.

What a journey!We currently have the best squad by far in league one, so can understand bookies making us second favs. I think they have got it wrong putting Blackburn favs, yes they’ve signed Dack but they have also lost key players already. The bookies set odds on current situations and as it stands with the likes of Burn, Powell, Gilby, Grigg and Jacobs in our ranks we should be clear favs.

What a journey!Apparently Cooky is on the verge of signing a premier league defender. None of those listed are defenders.
