What a journey! It seems Joyce is already distancing himself from the rest of the coaching staff he was a lone figure on the touch line and because, he’s a coach himself not a manager, you can’t teach your granny to suck eggs comes to mind. The midfielder for a striker is no more than a 2 fingers up at those sat behind him. I was staggered by his appointment, what we needed was a man management type manager bringing in 1 or 2 backroom staff of his own while he gets on with sorting all the crap out which is a job in itself.
It looks Sharp has gone for something his Grandad never did while in business , 2 for the price of 1.
Replacing forwards with left backs will not keep us up. What he is trying prove God only knows but 3 forwards on the bench is pure bellend tactics. Not for me Joyce
Cant argue with most of that but thought Garbutt was our best player when he came on. he actually played the attacking midfield role, just as Powell did who he replaced.
From where I was sitting Yanick was our center forward from the off and he actually played it well for the first 10 mins or so, after that crud!

What a journey!Same thing happened with Jimmy B, wanted to be near is dad in London and ended up in Hull.

What a journey! Can’t believe that!! He was only 60 a true Latics legend who could run through brick walls.
Will never forget the goals he scored for the tics, he would be nowhere near the action then suddenly appeared to bullet a header in, or nip in between two defenders to toe poke home.
It led to us creating a saying between a few fellow tics when someone just arrived at the last minute to score. “He came fromt bottum ert Duggie to score that!”
RIP Bobby you was and always will be a Latics legend, two great seasons and a pretty impressive goal per game ratio.
Goodnight and God bless, another gone far to young. :(

What a journey!Agree with rest, but thought McDonald was superb again today. Te amount of tackles he made and ground covered was amazing.

What a journey! So very sorry your majesty fat. No I didn’t go. Not well off enough to go to Cardiff. But the stats were oh so familiar. My apologies and from about another nine thousand or so Latics fans for not being a super fan with money to burn like you.The point I was making was that you chose to pick negatives in a performance you didn’t see. You cannot judge how a game went by just looking at the stats. The Latics on a number of occasions when in good positions chose to play that extra pass rather than do what Cardiff did take a punt at goal and eithe hit a defender or the corner flag. One goes on record of having several attempts at goal, the other no shots at goal, when actually both teams have created exactly the same chances.
You like everyone else are entitled to your view, however I take exception when you come on with your sarcastic put downs having not seen a ball kicked. Why not wait for comments about the game from those who actually went before having a dig / moan.
By the way I don’t have money to burn just choose to spend what I have on the footy and a belly full of beer one day a week. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Probably nowt to do with Graham. Would probably got exactly the same result with Gary. Played the same game, lots of possession and only two shots on target. Swapped a striker struggling for service with another struggling for service. This style of football whoever is in charge may keep us up but for entertainment for some it is not their cup of tea. However a win is a win and Saturdays feel better with them.Did you go Donny? Not sure how you have come to those opinions just by looking at the stats. Played well in second half fully deserved the win. Football FROM BOTH TEAMS not the best, but a resolute display from the tics was very pleasing on the eye.
Now to finish off a great weekend with a shed full of ale in Newport. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey! So why has Joyce (doesn’t sound right) never had another managerial post in the UK since saving Hull’s bacon in the mid 90’s ?. I will be shocked it he gets the job considering we’ve just tried a manager with no experience at League level.
I have a sneaky feeling it will be Robinson as Giggs will not want to join a club with such a tight budget and wage restrictions as us. There’s a big difference coaching a team full of young lads with their ears pricked ready to listen and learn then take over a club with ego’s and unhappy players languishing near the bottom and some wanting out in JanPerhaps its because he is managing the second string of one of the top clubs in the world, working with the cream of world talent.
The guy TBF has developed a number of players who have gone on to play for top clubs including Pogba who would be in a current world 11 team.
OK not a lot of experience managing club teams, but from a pressure perspective, he is working at a club that demands and expects success at all levels from under 8’s to first team.
He will have managed and let go quite a few players who didn’t make the grade, so will be used to making decisions on players futures particularly those who don’t cut the mustard.
Were we could benefit is from his tactical nous and professionalism expected from the players he manages. He probably had a big say in United releasing Powell so that will be one player who will need to prove his worth.
Joyce would not be my first choice, but I won’t be too downhearted if DS feels he is the man to take us forward.

What a journey!I hated Joyce with a passion when he played against us for Nob End and Noblot, one of those dirty little midfielders that buzz around the pitch niggling and kicking all that goes before um. He might however, put a bit of steel into our team. :woohoo:

What a journey!I had a shyte on the bog int thome team dressing room in the Neaucamp stadium but it doesn’t qualify me to be the club physio at Wigan.
Would be funny if Jordi did get the job, I can just see him bumping into the 4th official and falling flat on his harris claiming a free kick. :cheer:

What a journey!I think the idiots have always been there, its just that they have previously been well segregated.

What a journey!I would love a Giggs – G Neville partnership, look at the pull on players they would have. We could take our pick from that team in Salford!! :cheer:

What a journey!Why Karl Robinson?????
In 6 seasons with MK Dons he has demonstrated that he is a good manager at league One level and a poor manager at Championship level.
What on earth would we want him for? :woohoo:
Football management is the only profession where you can get sacked numerous times yet still get employed. I think we need to go with an experienced manager and backroom staff this time either that or a young manager with an owd yed at the side of him.
What about Steve Clark? :cheer:
