Hi Ali,still pinching myself mate.We both know how it used to be all those years ago and only in our wildest dreams was Saturday supposed to happen. In 73 I cried as a kid after losing to Scarborough on Saturday there were tears again mate and I aint ashamed to admit it but the tears were so different.This amazing club will never cease to impress but after what I saw on Saturday and the performance was simply staggering.It may not be the biggest club in the world it may not be the most successful club in the world but it is simply the most amazing club in the world by a million mile.Ali, remember watching back in the days when the “Bloody rubbish Wigan” brigade were in full voice, could any of us have had an idea of what would happen in 2013?. It’s a strange feeling, but the disappoint felt of relegation from the PL tonight is nowhere near as great as the ecstasy felt after winning the FA Cup on Saturday.
I thought I would have been really gutted and inconsolable, but I somehow feel an excitement for the new season.
It feels like a new start with something other than survival to strive for.
Lets give the players a good send off at the weekend, and look forward and build for a promotion challenge next season.COME ON WIGAN
Yep, we still have a Wembley appearance in August and then it could be Marseille on a Thursday neet, followed by a trip to Doncaster. Some good local derby games to look forward to. We might just enjoy ourselves.
