IMO Boggy has done okay, with the exception of a couple clangers; so I don’t think he deserves all the criticism that has been levelled at him. Yes glad to see we have a good back up in Jussi; but don’t forget, he was also guilty of a few poor showings last season !

Is he driving from Parbold ?

Still enjoy that second half when Connor & Charlie Boy stunned their loud mouth big time Charlies !

Scholes will join the Latics this coming week !

It amazes me why people spout so much venom at the multi billionaire Trump, when in reality they know nothing about him; other than the 10 mins of media drivel they have seen on TV. But hey, people are like that; too quick to judge instead of taking time to reach a fair and reasonable opinion.

You don’t think he was lying to get elected do you?
Maybe Nigel should answer that one.
He’s a politician ffs, you are surely not that naive to expect any of them to be honest, especially prior to being elected??
There’s being economical with the truth and then there’s downright blatant lies. It would appear many Americans have voted him in based upon the things he’s said he would do if he became President.

Fraudulent really just like the Brexiteers campaign.
And the remainers who promised armageddon and more within weeks of a Brexit vote.
They are all lying toe rags and will promise the world to get in power and do everything to look after themselves and their cronies once in power.
Yes, just look at one of the biggest remoaners: Tim Farron
Realising that he is part of Liberal Party that is all but defunct, he is trying to salvage his own career and popularity by trying to de-rail Brexit. Yet another self centred politician who is refusing to listen to the populous. It’s always easy to criticise when you are on the sidelines; especially when he realises that he will never be in a position of power.

A lot of events ( outside of football ) also have a pricing policy whereby its cheaper to purchase your tickets in advance. In fact, it’s just about every event that I have been to in the last two years !

Just an observation, like.

So quit moaning and make the world a happier place !

Two up front is a relic of the past that we wont ever see again. Well come on, who wants to see football played like that again. Ellington Roberts era such a boring period at Latics. Fast, attacking, shooting, wingers yawn a minute ball. Give us the passing it out from the back at snails pace anyday.

Donny, have you been down to the ROF today; to spy on training ? What were they up to ?

in reply to: Who TF picked the starting line up today ? #152248

Not as gobsmacked as me; tearing my betting slip up after 57 seconds !
Then again, most of the punters were probably doing the same.

Well, I was born and raised in Wrightington and I can remember some smart bastard putting up rugby posts on our local playing field ( when the local kids favoured football by about 95 to 1. I joined the posse that ripped em down and continued to use our jackets for goal posts ( in my Gordon Milne No 4 shirt ). How can I ever warm to them fat chubby, narrow minded bastards !

Initial reaction last week was one of disappointment, but after thinking about it for a week I like the idea of a fresh face to the scene; and his reputation looks positive, no nonsense, hard working.

So let’s rejoice.

Always said Kelly should have played for England, could have been anything he wanted to be that lad. Brilliant passer of a ball and wasn’t bad at a set-piece either

When he took our free kicks, the two man kop always chanted “Zico, Zico”

Watching the goals on Youtube Sunday and it panned to GC and I’ve got to say his demeanour on the touchline reminded me of Roy Hodgson against Iceland.
Not good to see for him nor the fans as he looked worried & like he didn’t know what to do!

I’ve no idea who is best to replace GC. Some of the names mentioned sound good / high profile, but do they or will they have the knowledge of the Championship to do anything?

Let’s hope Sharpy makes the right decision.

Let’s face it; on Saturday there were 9,000 managers walking off the DW at the final whistle, and all of them were saying things like:

Why couldn’t he see which substitutions would have been the right ones to make.
Why did he not start with Jordi.
He’s watching a different game than us.
How hard can it be to instruct a football team.

So come on; it can’t be that hard to get us playing the correct style of football; especially with the decent selection of players that we have !

in reply to: Caldwell sacked #151821

Giggs for me !
He’s got to know a bit about football and he’s got pulling power if we need to attract better players; and might pull a few more fans in too.

You don’t play for Man Utd and work alongside Fergie & Co without learning something. Let’s get in there before the Wolves.

Please Lostock tell me you’re on a wind up he’s less experience than Caldwell, a big NO from me!
Giggs rather than Karl Robinson, who has bucket loads of experience:
