Why do some on here keep mentioning Quality Signings? who in their reet mind will want to come here after the start we have made? and with our record of taking a lifetime to arrange deals I doubt we will see any new faces so late in the window unless they come on loan. Like many on here I too am totally fed up and im seriously finding it hard to keep the faith which i thought would never happen. Whelan will not bring in players now who will demand High wages coz we will be lumbered next season in the Championship so dont hold your breath I dont expect anything other than loan players coming in.
Ive said it for some time now I believe we should give the East stand back to away fans even if its only for the big clubs. If Utd, Liverpool, Everton etc want to bring 7000+ then let them its money in the clubs pockets. We could stay in the East for the rest it wouldn’t be hard to implement Wolves had a similar system in place.

he should have been shown the door after 10 games last season and that was actually 9 to many for meHere here, no other manager in any other league in Europe would have survived the embarrasments of last season and would have had the bullet long ago. My opinion is that Whelan has told the world that Martinez would never be sacked and has now backed himself into a corner coz he looks like a total dick-head now if he gets shut. Why cant he just keep his gob shut sometimes.
What pi$$es me off is that it is Wigan Athletic who do the spade work and bring these guys over from Honduras etc get the work permits and whatnots sorted get these players noticed and known and then they are off first chance they get. Stuff the club who made them houshold names. Would the likes of Sunderland, Stoke etc even heard of Rodellega and Figueroa if we hadnt took the chance with them? They would have probably never made it to the Prem but for us.
Seeing as how we dont pay decent wages to attract the good players i reckon the same will apply to managers as well. To think the likes of O,Neill and Errikson would come to Wigan to pick up a lot less per week than they normally get is a non starter. Its immaterial anyway as mr Whelan stated when he hired R M that he would never sack him and he would be manager of Wigan Athletic for as long as he wanted
Man walking down the road comes across a Penguin crying his eyes out, he turns to the Penguin and softly says “Whatever is the matter to make you cry so much my little mate”?
